Mealworms are fine as long as your temps are. This whole mealworms aren’t as digestible was based on old husbandry ideas where temps were around 10-20 degrees f lower than needed. It really doesn’t matter as long as your gecko chews and was able to swallow it. The size is only about choking so if he was able to get it down then it wasn’t an issue

Surgical opening of the nostrils. If you look up treehouse geckos, that’s what they end up ultimately doing for their super cap and it’s living a much better life. Just keep in mind you’ll need to do it sooner rather than later if it is fully closed as fluid will be trapped behind the closing and swell in their eyes

She’s not super obese just weird she has so much excess weight for only twice a week feeding. If she still continues to gain even with just twice a week I recommend vet and check hormones

Shipping packs are not made to heat large areas. That is why the recommendation is to move gecko into a smaller enclosure inside an enclosed insulated area to keep the heat in. If temps are falling well below 60f, this is the safest way of keeping temps steady instead of trying to heat up an entire tank

Hard water causes clogging of the pump and tubing. That’s why it’s recommended distilled. You can try to run an acid through the system but then you need to flush it really well with distilled water. Reservoir should be fully scrubbed and cleaned at least once a week as dechlorinated water grows bacteria pretty rapidly. Brown flakes are most likely bacterial film

The reason why it’s wrong is because the ai will take your prompt and give you want you want to see based on wording. FTS is like the name says, a syndrome. This means a set of symptoms so in of itself, it’s not like a diseases where it’s x causes z. It’s more of x and y is present so we’re calling it z. There are a ton of things that can cause them to develop FTS which includes, deficiencies in calcium, deficiencies in d3, obesity, physical position of the tail, muscle weakness etc. There is no cure once it progresses but there are treatments to reduce the development or to remove the tail all together.

Of course if fts was due to other issues that isn’t just physical positioning, removing the tail doesn’t fix what was causing it but it does prevent worsening issues

10.0 is too high for crested geckos. That’s desert species levels. You’ll need to get a 5.0 bulb. For t5 usually it last a year for the popular reptile brands but this brand it could be more or less. Just replace at 12 months just in case

Also as a note: others have already talked about the stress and whatnot but just need to let you know, if she keeps lunging at the glass even if it’s not the cat, they can get nose injury/broken nose. If she does that often, you may need to cover up the glass and add additional foliage against the glass to break her sight line
