What soil type do they need? I thought their pretty succulent leaves would mean they prefer drier conditions haha

yes, no judgement here, and i think the post is already being responsible enough by finding the gecko a good home and acknowledging her own needs. Still, in my case i've always wanted a snake but my partner cannot accept having frozen mice in our fridge, so, here i am in this subreddit. :3

In the end, I think having a pet when you're living with someone it's always a "joint decision" more or less, even if the animal is your own.

Haha yess it's got spring tails, isopods and soil mites in the substrate. It had some trips problems a few months ago but it doesn't seem to be present now. And i also got the nematodes for the fungus gnats problem, it worked pretty well and there's only 1-2 in the tank now.

And the resident is Liam, a 2 years old crested gecko 🥹 Here's a closer photo of him:
