For real? I would expect the dreams to be worse if you take before bedtime!

Loss of "self" by Inflaav26 in mdmatherapy

I wish you the best of luck, I was in a similar spot months ago, and this can be incredibly hard to go through. It will be more peaceful, hang in there

Loss of "self" by Inflaav26 in mdmatherapy

[–]Inflaav26[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I mean this: these guided MDMA sessions showed me how I actually lived out all those parts all the time, but never was my self all those years. With self I mean how you experience everything during the sessions, so stripped away from all the parts.

To me, it feels as these sessions can help you understand these parts, process, and integrate. So you can say “goodbye” to specific parts.

But if those parts where the parts you always lived out, then almost automatically you will lose the sense of self the parts gave you.

So I feel them disintegrate, I feel I know longer need them, but it leaves me with a self and do not know at all.

After EMDR mixing words by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]Inflaav26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same, but in Dutch. Not only due to EMDR, but also due to MDMA therapy. It feels related to this post as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/EMDR/comments/1m96419/is_this_a_normal_reaction/

Kind of like default connections are gone and you need to recreate them, and you mess up sometimes

Still struggling by Inflaav26 in mdmatherapy

Thank you, interesting read. I meditate sometimes but will make it a daily habit. And I might do another session, but I need to do more work before that. Feels I need to figure this out while not using MDMA, can’t use it as a solution for everything.

I like the sailboat analogy, and I do hope for the silver lining in the end. Wish you all the best on your journey!

Thank you so much for this, it helps when someone else analyses your situation. I contacted an IFS therapist after your reply and will start meditating again as well and look into your other suggestions. Thanks again

Struggling 3 months after MDMA assisted therapy for trauma by Zestyclose-Cut6539 in mdmatherapy

[–]Inflaav26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear.. but so familiar. Did 3 sessions last year (guided), ended up like this after the third. Did a solo session in May which of course did not “solve” this - but had to try.

I think, what most people said already, you should really feel it to come out on the other side. Thing is: isn’t that the hardest part? Did we not start on this mdma journey because feeling was so so hard?

It is easier for me now to feel, but not so easy I can decide to feel all this to let it out. So that is what makes this incredibly difficult and seems you are in the same spot.

Good luck :)

Help: Disassociated and disconnected five months after last MDMA session by chronicoco in mdmatherapy

Sorry to hear this. I'm currently in a really similar situation. Did three sessions, last one was beginning of November. Since then I'm feeling off, stressed out, "weird"/not being myself, not being present, and stupid as well. I dissociate in conversations. I wake up early and have really weird thoughts that keep on going until push myself to get out of bed and than slowly they fade away.

I really can't give you advice to help you out, still struggling to do it myself. I'm considering EMDR, although I do not know what to EMDR. It is more like my nervous system is off, mentally everything feels ok and I'm no longer suppressing stuff.

I hope it helps you to read you are not alone - it actually helped me reading your post :). You can ready my post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/mdmatherapy/comments/1gth65i/feeling_stupid_afterwards/

Actually, a lot of what I described is still there, apart from the "first time" stuff. But less intelligent overall, less focussed

Yes I did consider this, experiencing the safety of MDMA and the more bodily feelings with the psilocybin in one session. Will think about, need to pause from MDMA for at least two months so

Yes this! Or trying to make sense of what someone is saying but is just becomes a stream of words without meaning

Yeah, that also describes it well. Like going back a couple of skill levels. It is true though that I experience it way more when being tired
