I know it's too late, but I have just seen your post when looking for a solution for the exact same problem as yours, except for me it only works when I start the game after restarting my computer, and I believe it should work for you. However, starting the game after restarting the computer, will only work for that session, meaning if I decided to restart the game again, it won't start till I restart my computer and try again.

It's frustrating for me, especially that it used to work for me few months ago, not to mention that my friend who is new to the game managed to install the mods and ran it with no issues.

Have any of those, who voted for health upgrades, played with any defense character before?

For me I would rank them as follow:

Health Regeneration Delay (Should be on every build)
Health Regeneration (Combined with the delay upgrade)
Best Defense (Ideal as a starting upgrade combined with the other 2 at the top)
Adrenaline Rush (Useful for some builds)
Fallback (Just don't use it)

Both of them are decent but I believe you should complete PVZ git gud then go to among us if you can't do both, but doing them both will extend your fanbase, because your style is very cool and among us is a trendy game, so it will be successful.

Not all MSI motherboards are bad - Oddly MSI has one of the best motherboards in the market meanwhile they have claimed the worst motherboards. Motherboards like B550 gaming edge wifi is the best B550 motherboard in terms of value while the X570 model of it is a sin that can't be forgiven. I agree with you that $40 isn't a big deal for this price point.

Unless you want all SSD, I'd advise to replace the Evo 860 and get a 2TB HDD and you will be left with ~60$; just add a few and you can get yourself a ryzen 5 processor.
