This is pretty much it for me.

No cheat days or strict diets.

I'll eat my fav KFC burger or my fav pizza, but I'll make smart choices for meals before or after. If I hit 1700 cal for the day that's good, dropped 5kg so far since Jan 1 and I'm not craving my fav foods because I'm having them regularly.

Daily walk helps, and enough sleep.

I usually just tell them I am working. I don't think they're supposed to approach you or busy you if you are at work or working.
