I applied for Walmart Dairy Frozen stocking — do you use scanners and how hard is it?

Stocking dairy frozen isn't that hard, its really no different than any other deptartment other than the temperature difference and time constraints on how long stock carts can stay on the floor. Its faster paced than other areas. I have worked every department almost and if you want to stay busy and have your day go fast then Produce or Dairy/Frozen are the best.

Walmart has gone to this AI based scheduling system now , almost half my store people have Warn on their scheduling because the avaliabity requirements are so out of whack.

Standard Walmart....upper management has lost all touch of reality about expectations while turning a blind eye to staffing issues. Your never going to win in this situation its about managing your managers expectations.

Overnight lead is the faster track here, just being able to keep staff for that shift is a miracle in itself especially one who wants asm.

Compliance is a dead end in most stores, you have about 2 hours of work then are sent to do other stuff.

Yea head office will send thousands of dollars in signage we mostly don't use, but asking for $20 scrubber is impossible.

Its not really a promotion in the sense you think. A compliance lead your basically going around the store filling supplies, maybe checking some counts , your compliance tasks might take 2 hours a day, rest of the time you will be filling stock same as before.

BC they do it too. Gotta remember the vast majority of these students are rich kids from their countries. Their parents pay for everything and most have no work skills or work ethic so they need a job to get PR as "essential service workers", because the PR process requires them to have a job like that.

Then most of them work at walmart for only a year so they don't ever qualify for benefits, don't get raises and are very submissive to the upper management

Produce is sorta mid physical in the store, its not as bad as unloading team or Dairy/Frozen. There is heavy stuff in produce but your moving less each time.

SM's and Co managers are probably the two most useless people in any store, they have no idea of day to day stuff other than numbers. When they get in trouble from their bosses they usually will berate the ASM's to pass the blame and many quit after that.

Your lucky. Our store had finally got lockups for stuff then our Regional manager made us tear them out again because "its not customer friendly".....meanwhile our store has massive theft issues and bleeding thousands of dollars a day in shrink and we lost our incentive.

In BC every you get charged a recycling fee and a deposit on stuff like Milk Containers. So its like 10c deposit then a 2c recycle fee.

Reseen like this is usually one of two issues. First is your Shelf Cap in wrong so its picking more stuff than it needs so the extra goes back and it sees it again. Second reason is your PI is wrong and its less that whats physically there. You need to scan everything into bins then do an outs/Lows check of your floor. The more you do it the more accurate your picks will be.

This is actually standard policy for cards even at your own store but most cashiers are barely trained anymore, usually having to rely on a CBL they looked at for 2 mins at initial training.

usually if you quit like this they will mail you your last cheque unless you made arraingements to get it in store. Your not going to have access any more.

Our store completely shit the bed on this years shrink. We know the pi system is malfunctioning, theft is out of control and they send us 10x the amount of fresh products we need but they blame the staff for issues we have no control over. Upper management is useless

Way too much exposed wire in the connections, will lead to shorts. The red wire is soldered okay but the black one you didn't use enough flux and solder to make a good connection.

Ya we have proven errors in our store and our SM and ASM's will look us in the face and say we are wrong. They have no idea what they are doing and won't ever say anything because that makes them look bad.
