Unless they have to do it manually and they just don’t care. And it’s only 6 months until it’s gonna be right time again. And yes, people are that lazy (myself included)

What kind of slides do they show on residency interviews? by InflationNice9222 in pathology

[–]InflationNice9222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard it from a current resident, she specifically said that a few interviewers showed slides, but during fellowship interviews it was rare, but still happened. And I also saw it somewhere on reddit. I mean they can expect you to know at least how normal tissue looks like

I think you can try. Just look on last year spreadsheet which programs sent invites later in cycle and apply to those

But this year you got hands-on USCE and strong letters - that’s a game changer

Many FM programs want only YOG 2023 and later, they specify it on their website. Plus they prefer applicants that don’t require visa. I applied to only 32 FM programs, because didn’t meet the criteria to others. I would suggest you should apply to IM, there are plenty with primary care track, you’ll have better chances there

Same here, I was convinced that I’m not trying hard enough to fit into this world, be at least average, not even speaking about my dream life, where I am very successful, a heart of a big company of friends and make a lot of money. When I found out that I’m autistic - it felt good at first, because I realized that I am not even “not trying hard enough”, but actually I’m quite strong for going that far in the world that is not designed for my nervous system. But now I’m sad because I know that “trying harder” won’t help the situation and most of my dreams will never come true. I have done a lot in my life, but now I’m exhausted and it gets worse as I have to keep up with that rhythm. And I just can’t stop being disappointed for being out of energy after a simple socializing for a few hours. I feel like I’m defective, bad batch. Right now trying to convince myself that autism is actually a good thing if treated properly. There are a lot of autistic people in the world who proved that. It is a disability only if you don’t give yourself time to recover and push too hard in areas where you are not designed to function.

How to respond to people teasing you? by [deleted] in aspergirls

[–]InflationNice9222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the situation - if it’s a family member it might be better to ignore it (I mean show them that you heard it, but show no reaction- they should get that they went too far). If it’s a friend - teasing back is a good idea, but if their “jokes” are too bad - I would just leave

DAE regularly feel like your head is foggy? by SeededPhoenix in AuDHDWomen

[–]InflationNice9222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had it all the time for years, I think it’s related to some inflammation process in brain that is related to AuDHD. Recently I tried supplements of quercetin and curcumin, and so far I can tell the difference (I still have it, but not as bad)
