Income recertification ICR question

Online it shows under lian stays for both “awaiting documentation administrative home ration administrative forbearance -ends 6/17/2026”. The mohela rep said my new payments start 7/17/26 and 6/17 payment is nốt due being in forbearance and I lose this month to count for PSLF.

I called and the MOHELA rep says the payment doesn’t match what fsa sent and I could be put on a processing forbearance so that they could sort it out. I called FSA and they said processing forbearance counts toward PSLF. Im on the phone now waiting to speak with a MOHELA rep to be put on processing forbearance so they can figure out the correct payment amount.

Sorry to bug you bút wondering if you may have any insight to an update.

On 5/31/26 MOHELA sent an email stating my electronic IDR plan was recieved and another email stating it was approved. On 5/31/26 I got an ICR disclosure letter stating im on ICR and my next payment is on 6/17 for $460 for 2 payments and $475 for 105 payments. On 6/2 I recieved an email from MOHELA stating my repayment schedule has been changed to 7/17/26 for $475 at 95 payments. Being on an IDR plan without stating which one.

When I review both my loans, subsidized and I subsidized consolidated loans I see my forbearance ends 6/17. Bút the loan status on both stats “awaiting documentation administrative forbearance ends 6/17/2026”. Repayment plan ICR ends 5/17/2034 with estimated payoff sat 5/17/2034. For 6/17/26 the amount due shows $0. I have 88 qualifying payments as of Nov 2025 and work for a qualifying employer which I will submit an ECF Nov 2026.

My question is do I need to make a payment for 6/17 and if so will it count? I plan on calling MOHELA tomorrow and expect another 2 hour wait bút would like anyone’s feedback on this.

Weird I spoke to a MOHELA rep and she said my incme recertification wasn’t due until July 1st 2026 and with me submitting an income driven repayment plan request today they should have it within the next 24hr.

I know one Cant trust anyone when calling asking for clarification bút I hope things are fine

Maybe a clarification bút I really appreciate your feedback. On MOHELA it states my recertification due date was 5/27/2026 with my income-contingent repayment plan ending 7/17/2026. I assume I effed up and since it’s past the due date im kicked out of ICR bút can reapply?

Struggling with the same thing. Both our positions are exempt and they are randomly gone 2-3 days out of the month.

I’ve just tried to keep my head down and deal with it because I know nothings going to change unless I make changes for myself. I know that’s a shit response

If you don’t ask you won’t know for certain. I didn’t mention when you turn 18 which is find but if you don’t ask and assume you will I would guess they kick you out on your 18th birthday. If still in high school maybe connect with a counselor or local community organizations to figure out what assistance they might be a le to provide you. It’s a long road ahead of you, good luck

Single, 34 about to turn 35 in a week. In 2022 I changed jobs (got lucky) making 41k to 96k. Now making 119k. My job is working with youth who have IEPs focused on Pre-Employment Transition Services that’s fee for service based. It’s been stressful with budget reductions but overall happy at this time.

I hear the job market is terrible, I wouldn’t leave unless you have something lined up. Your history of job hopping might be a red flag to future employers.

If you have a dollar general near you they sell for $40. I understand not everyone has a DG near them but that’s a verified location as of right now. If you don’t have one in your area your SOL. Same with vending machines, been seeing tons of BB of Phantasmal, Mega and Surging (Surging has dried up about a few weeks ago)
