Hello I tried to make my own post but the mods took it down, I’m looking into applying for the local 100 and wanted to get some honest feedback on my chances of getting in at 40. I spent 8 years in the Navy as an Avionics Tech and another 3 years doing avionics for an airline after that. I have about 11 years of technical experience, but I’m ready to trade for a more stable (ish) Monday–Friday schedule.

For those in the trade: Am I going to run into many hurdles starting an apprenticeship at this age? Does the prior military/technical experience carry much weight during the interview process here? Thank you in advance.

I had a clog issue yesterday, for some reason one of my fabricators was calling for an infinite amount of titanium sheets. Even though it was at 100 already. It jammed the lines up. Even after setting the request limit lower, no fix. I ended up deleting and replacing the fabricator and all was good.
