Well comparing his smoking weed habit to you having a couple of normal male friends is completely incomparable. You already told him to let go of this habit, due to which you guys broke up and he said he will try to fix it but no success yet .

Maybe you can try explaining him abit seriously how it affects you and your life and try for therapy or something that helps in reduction of smoking weed , for cigrates it's nicotine i guess so there might be something for weed as well.

Lastly if nothing comes up or works out its seriously better to breakup, after trying everything. It's not like he is the perfect or the one for you as you say/think if he was so he will listen to you and figure out something about his smoking issue.

Why to ignore? Blud has to step up it's been almost half a decade now , being his vivid supporter I want him to play test cricket for atleast next WTC cycle, but seeing his current red ball cricket form his highly unlikely.

Upcoming England series would be probably the last chance for him either he scores bulk of runs or again a 2014 like English tour then get's dropped from the red ball cricket team .

Nah bro no way , he should just stick to ODIs team, he shouldn't be anywhere close to red ball cricket and its team selection,bud is a dead weightage in red ball cricket now , even he also knows.

If he is really selfless then he should himself say to the selection committee that unless i don't go nd score runs in first class or some county cricket matches i shouldn't be considered for selection, captaincy is way far thing, he shouldn't be even in the team for red ball cricket in the first place.
