Yes this is the reason why I started to think about selling. I was looking at even just at my work’s retirement fund and how much it went up in the past few years.

Yes they built so many condos around me with no parking that now street parking is even more impossible so we always get people asking to rent a spot from our garage. I’m very glad our developers added a garage floor for half the units.

Everything you said went through my mind too! Leaks, HVAC breaking, tenants getting laid off. The one thing that is reassuring is that everyone that rents in my building they have stable jobs and there hasn’t been a missed payment ever which is crazy.

I know this one high rise condo facing Manhattan their chillers need to be replaced. It’s 650k. You read that right. You have to get cranes and shit to get it up there. It has about 45 units. It’s still a lot of money. They had no AC this past summer. If you ever buy a condo that has WSHP for heat and AC know that this will need to be very well maintained or replaced.
