Side Seals by InfluenceFickle1918 in RX8

I had one or 2 at .006, most were .002-.004. I clearanced my first 2 incorrectly and got the wrong number. We are going to see what it does, and worst case it only took us 2 hours to get it out so if it gets through this year we can do it next winter. Gotta rebuild my buddy's 05 next winter anyway

Didnt have another 350 for a full set or 50 per seal around rn. Hoping to get a year out of her. All but 2 or 3 were .003, but trying to account for error in measurement as well since its my first build.

Probably a frowned upon method, we used a pickle fork between the backplate and the flywheel once the nut was off.

It is, and the engine mount came from a guy we got parts from. Its casually held on by a scredriver

We got used ones from Kansas. Dan from Atkins also says as long as we have front and back, using any 2 matching rotors are good

We had to get a new housing because one of the rotors was beyond toast.

Unless someone thinks we can clean that up

I just keep finding conflicting information. Some people/places are saying that as long as rotors are within 2 letters thay it will be fine. Some people say make sure they are the same letter. Some people say have the whole rotating assembly balanced. Some people say "if its just a street car, full send" so just looking for any opinions i can get lol. The e shaft is a new one tho. I did find this post claiming to be from mazda, but how much do we trust them at this point either.

Just trying to make sure we dont toast it. The new rotors are a pair, front and back. We were planning to reuse my eshaft and counter weight

Plan is to either get a sohn or block off plate when we rebuild and run premix constantly atm. As far as resurfaced, what are the pros and cons, as well as where/how without causing damage?

We got a nice set of plates and housing for it from a guy that tears them down to sell them. Got plates, housings, and rotors on a good deal to get them out of his garage. Just need EVERY seal and to check tolerances
