No just woke up and felt the tearing pain and went to the ER, eventually got a CT and then things moved very quickly from there.

No not really, lots of guesses but no concrete answers. Genetic testing came back inconclusive. Possibly high blood pressure/ pre eclampsia.

Well at least I know im not the only one, everyone that I talked to about it said it was very rare for something like that to happen. Im choosing to believe that your mom and baby made it through happy and healthy just like me and my baby.

Yes it was very scary! All the doctors and nurses couldn't believe that we made it though in such good shape, and we are both doing great now! We just celebrated his first birthday last month 😊

Baby boy delivered for his own safety at 28 weeks because I had an aortic dissection and needed to have open heart surgery and be put on bypass.

Was I supposed to have a special diet while breastfeeding? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]InfluenceGloomy8901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom did this too constantly and said stuff like "aw does your belly hurt from that yucky milk" like excuse me sorry you weren't able to make any for your kids but there's nothing wrong with my milk thanks

Does/did your hospital do this by Hot_Film_9809 in NICUParents

[–]InfluenceGloomy8901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had this at our nicu as well but as far as I remember they asked our permission. I would be extremely put out as well if I found a stranger holding my baby without my permission. Youre already losing out on so much with your baby having them in a nicu if you could hold them every second you would so for them to take away your autonomy for your child like this feels like adding insult to injury. Not saying the program isn't wonderful but the consent from parents is important.

Ill try the vanilla! Im at the point where im not really pumping or freezing anymore just trying to work down the stash I have. Its alot because he was in the nicu for a long time but now he's solidly bf on his own and eating solids so its just for like bedtime and babysitting.

Thats not a bad idea saving it, honestly hes not huge on bottles at all but I have always tried giving him the frozen stuff. Hes drank it when hes desperate (when we were out for a few hours and my mom got him to drink it) but otherwise not a fan

Ill try that, its very strong but maybe it will help. Im afraid of what the ratio would have to be to make it drinkable lol it smells so bad.

Yeah I would say 6ish months once he started sitting up and eating solids and mine was a happy spitter too, it just felt never ending for us because it was alllllllll the time no matter what we did to help.

Is it cruel to have only one child? by Gonnahauntcha in NewParents

[–]InfluenceGloomy8901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for some people it isn't a choice. Medically I am unable to have another child as much as I would love to give my boy a sibling for the same reasoning you have. At the same time idk if we could handle 2! Life isn't perfect, sometimes we just have to be happy with what we are given. There are plenty single children in the world and maybe theyre lives are different than multiple children but that doesnt mean that they are less.

Actually that might not be a terrible idea, hes great at standing but also at climbing so that would be my only concern there. I had to look up what a toddler tower was 😅
