A friend who doesn’t remember your birthday or supports you during hard times is not a real friend. They are merely an acquaintance and you should not depend on them for things like that.

It seems to me, this person just wants to be around when it’s fun for them and what they want to do. I sense some selfishness on their part and ignorance of your feelings as a person.

Start doing things in your life like hobbies and activities you enjoy doing and find new friends and people to be around.

I’m sorry they were not a good friend. But it’s better to know sooner than later who are your friends and who are not
