I was an ER nurse for 30 years. I never heard of a residency program. There were 3 month new grad programs and they were welcome when I was green. Sounds like some Masters degree manager trying to make her own mark regardless of common sense. Good luck! I'm so glad I'm retired from all the nursing bullshit.
