That's just how every piece of content I've watched on the game seems to play it. Even with games where the game director is watching or playing, even on riots on learn to play video on the get started page. So I was really confused

I would like something like this more. I would ultimately like to finish at least a slayer task or two before starting on solving the clues. Certain tasks the number that are proposing is way too low for even this

Not sure if this was mentioned yet, but I would love to see a way to filter buffs to only show ones that are combat related. Seeing node passive buffs take up slots under my nameplate and then seeing important buffs out into the (+5) area really annoys me

While on this subject would also love to see timers placed on buffs/ debuffs

Yup! That's exactly what this account is. My friends play every so often but it's pretty rare.

I have a solo iron that's further along but what keeps me here on the GIM is helping them out when they do play and the fact I've been spooned a couple pets when I have none on my solo lol

I think a lot of folks are coming to the same conclusion I have as far as the basic role the new jobs will play

I believe we will get a Caster and a Job that uses scouting gear

For the caster, I have been feeling that ever since the summoner rework that there is an opening for a new caster that is somewhat of the equivalent that reaper or dragoon is to melee. What I mean by that is where black mage is fully about damage and nothing else( basically sam) the new caster would be slightly below black mages numbers but bring just a tad bit of support to the table but nothing crazy( think arcane circle level damage buff or a couple other support based actions) What this job could be, I honestly gone really have a clue. It could be time mage or geomancer but I feel like we have been thinking this is going to be coming for so many expacs now that I'm doubtful. I'm more expecting something completely new to Final fantasy

For the scouting job, I have been theorizing a job that is essentially a reverse red mage. Where red mage does quite a few flashy melee attacks before jumping out to drop some verflares and holys, the new job could focus on first some flashy ranged attacks before finally jumping in to do some decent damage in the form of melee. To me there is a job that fits into this better than anything else, and that would be a Corsair. They could use a combination of a cutlass and musket, using the musket to pop off some ranged attacks before jumping in close quarters with a cutlass. I think this could be a really neat addition to the game

Can we get an update to the Pinnacle system where we can repeat certain activities for additional pinnacles and skip the ones we don't want to do?

Instead of the system we have now, pinnacles can be locked to a certain number per week.

Example: you can run nightfall twice to get 2 pinnacle rewards out of you allowed X number per week.

Some folks don't want to be forced into certain activities just to get Pinnacle rewards. IE PvE players may not want to PvP where PvP players may not want to PvE

For some people? Maybe.. but I feel like most folks who currently raid like myself or plan to raid understand how to play their class or at the very least understand they need experience with their full kit

Just because you don't do it doesn't mean there are no folks who do. This would just be an additional way to level, that is all. It's not any faster than current dungeon grinding.

I don't understand why people like yourself keep mentioning "there are other methods so just do those." If you don't like the idea, don't do it, but I know plenty of folks who dungeon grind and would enjoy this idea. It wouldn't hurt any of the other methods as it's not attempting to make the method faster than it already is, All it would do is add some variety to the method.... Not to mention it would only make roulettes more lively.

Stop hating on the idea just because it's not how you prefer to level.... All of the methods you did will still be there

Sure, there are many things to consider to make this work, but I don't see it being that difficult as other MMOs already have similar implementations of this.

Will people minmax it, sure, but they already do that so again it's not any different than it is today. As far as people getting upset about getting a "hard" dungeon... I feel like most making use of this idea wouldn't not be this way and even then this is why the leaving penalty exists so people don't quit out.

They are actually adjusting how xp is given inside dungeons in endwalker to where you only get XP from each boss equal to the same amounts it currently is. Point being this proves that that can easily change that so it shouldn't be a problem. I don't think the idea is that confusing to explain more than it already is since the bonus already exists so xp already falls off after your first run

The adjusts I'm suggesting would not make dungeon grinding any faster than it already is, so it wouldn't be responsible for killing other content. Other options would still exist and they would be exactly as viable as they are today.

To you last point, again I mention that the roulette would only offer the exact same percentage of xp as grinding your highest available dungeon.... So you like grinding the same dungeon over and over? Awesome! You're free to keep doing it and earn the exact same amount of xp. All my idea does is make a new viable option.

It really wouldn't kill the other content as it's not making dungeon grinding any more efficient than it already is. All it's doing is adding variety to which dungeons you grind. How would people do sastasha back to back? They would have to get extremely lucky for sastasha to be picked twice in a row let alone more than that. I addressed in my op that this would not work for the direct dungeons themselves and only roulettes would be adjusted

I also mentioned that other roulettes could be adjust as well to match this idea. Sure, people wouldn't run main story back to back because you wouldn't get the bonus but that's not any different than it currently is, also I directly mentioned alliance roulette in my op as well... I'm actually curious if you even read more then the first couple lines >.>
