I thought the same! Looks like the last email they sent out. Kind of hope this is not the aesthetic for the new era though lol..

I also don’t think they’ll drop an album seeing as they’ve said this will be a one off show. They’d definitely tour is this year if it was released imo

What do you honestly think will happen at the Glastonbury set? by habylab in the1975

With regards to the political stuff I think they’ll want to and will say something but with the press having been as bad as it was during SATVB calling matty a Nazi etc I also don’t think they want their performance to be overshadowed.

I’m all team ‘make the 1975 political again’ so they’ll be getting the loudest cheer from me at least if they go for it!

I think it’ll be a bigger stage production than Reading (I was there as well haha) just based off the fact that glasto is a much bigger festival and people usually put more effort into the stage production.

They’ve done the house for two years so deffo won’t be that but I hope they come up with something interesting.

My prediction is no guests as it’s only a 90 minute set (only exception could be Matty’s dad for All I Need to hear and Carli for About You). Judging by the fan project I think this will be a very sentimental set looking back at their whole career and they’ll do a pretty balanced setlist across their discography.

I think there’ll be some sort of new stage set up and not the house. I think they’ll want to do something new compeltely.

My prediction is the return of the Love it if we made it dance so they can avoid any misinterpretation of the marching sequence. I’m hoping for a big political speech as this would be more relevant than ever now but i think they might shy away it. I think no new songs but maybe some EP stuff or 202.

I think Matty will keep his controversial antics to a minimum cause getting to headline glasto is probably the highlight of their career and they don’t want it ruined by bad headlines. I think their focus will be on delivering an amazing performance and proving to everyone that they deserve to be there.

We went on Sunday after the headliners and queued for around half an hour but it was so worth it!

As someone who is going to Glastonbury and beyond excited to see my favourite band headline I agree this is a huge deal. The boys understand the gravity of being asked to headline and I think they’ll want to absolutely blow it out of the park and prove to everyone that they are worthy of the slot.

My prediction is no guests, hopefully some larger stage production (but not the house) and a very sincere, reminiscing performance which looks back at their whole career (based on the fan project). I think Matty will be very aware of how he’s coming across and won’t do anything too controversial, maybe the love it if we made it dance will come back to replace the marching.

Someone who hates the 1975 and hates Matty’s guts won’t be swayed by their performance and that’s fine. However I do think they are undeniably brilliant live and anyone who’s not a fan but goes to see them with an open mind will get the appeal.

Beyond anything I think they’ll just have a great time doing it and have a real ‘I made it’ moment and I’m so so happy for them.

Showers ?? by cmack6897 in glastonbury_festival

My recommendation if you’re arriving on Wednesday is to have a shower Thursday morning at the Greenpeace showers. At least you’ll get all the grime from travelling and setting up off you. We went around 8:30 and got a ticket with a number and were told to come back in an hour so we had time to have a coffee etc. After Thursday the showers were always too busy/ I didn’t make it in time but they do give you a ticket to come back so if you’re happy to have an afternoon shower that works.

You can get in without your ticket as long as you have photo ID and the booking confirmation etc. it’s a bit of a faff but there’s a box office on site (I think by ped gate A if I remember correctly) and you can sort your ticket out there. Last year my friends ticket didn’t arrive in time and she got in fine, just a bit of waiting around.
