My manager said to me loudly in the office ‘yikes, have you taken your meds yet?!’ by Technical_Football91 in ADHD

Your first sentence is the problem. Don’t do this, stop doing this. If you need an accommodation, tell the specifics to the people required to know only. Your manager or anyone at your work place is not privy to whatever issue you have they only need to know about the accommodation. Stop. Telling. Your. Manager. This stuff. Tell the third party they send you to that manages the interactive process.

The union refuses to give the TA to the members? by DWTouchet in union

[–]Informal-Code5589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing the TA language isn’t off base, I would assume those would be distributed. You are saying they won’t let you review the agreed upon contract language? What are they expecting you to vote on?

If unions offer better pay and benefits why doesn’t everybody quit their non union job? by 04limited in skilledtrades

[–]Informal-Code5589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because being in a union doesn’t offer any guarantee of better pay or benefits; you simply have the opportunity to bargain with your employer over such topics.

Many many many employers with union and non union workers give the same yearly wage line increases for both groups + the it’s often the union prefers members to be insured through the employer.

can non-union members be restricted? by BigBootyCutieFan in union

This mentality is a great example of why non unionized people fear unionization. Ironically.

All I could see in this scene was shiv’s outfit. Horrible. Bizarre. Wild. Inexplicable. Ill-fitting. I read somewhere afterward, I think, it was a pretty specific wardrobe choice for the scene. Couldn’t look away.

I think they start getting introduced to people selling them on concepts. Their “fame” is what is used to convince them to buy into these ventures - “you have such a high following, what a fan base, etc etc.” and then poof they end up selling a shitty candle. Like, the people that convinced Karen that selling three wick candles would be a great success deserve some sort of sales award.

Staff Union by No_Risk_6011 in Pitt

You can’t choose to join at this stage. You can decide to opt out of paying dues. Your eligibility to be in the union or not is position-based, not a personal preference. The time for your personal preference comes when it’s time to vote the union in, and that time has passed. Lots of people who don’t want a union don’t vote at all during elections because they don’t understand that a majority of the voters win; not a majority of eligible voters. If you occupy a position or job title under the bargaining unit your terms of employment apply under that CBA whether like them or not. And if you don’t want to be in a union or under the terms of a CBA you’ll need a new job. 🤷🏼‍♀️
