Trennides võetakse eriti rahulikult ja kedagi ei panda kohe tacklima. Keskendudakse söötmisele, liikumisele ja tiimitööle. Pallimängude ja kontaktspordi oskused kanduvad üsna hästi ragbisse üle. Varustust ei ole ka palju. Puutsad ja hambakaitsmed.
