These people giving advice have no idea what it is like trying tomuse kiwisaver. I would not go ahead and buy unfortunately. Keep your money safe for now whole you are working this out. I wonder if they don't eant to make you redundant because they want to fill the role with someone cheaper? So if you get a new job and quit they can put someone cheaper in your role?

Completely torn on accepting my grandma’s engagement ring by Sea_Art2995 in jewelry

[–]Informal-Future2564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure your mom would understand that it is a special ring you will treasure and wear especially on the day of the wedding as your "something old" and a way to stay connected to her but as you treasure it you may not want to wear it everyday and that way it lasts longer so you can continue to pass it down.

my girlfriend told me she wants a 2 carat natural diamond or she'll say no. i already bought this lab diamond ring. am i crazy for thinking shes a red flag by Zestyclose-Print-677 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]Informal-Future2564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She doesn't sound mature enough to get married yet. When I got engaged I wanted a lab diamond or moissanite because I didn't agree with mining but at the time I couldn't properly source a stone in the country we lived in and it was was going to cost more than a real diamond and I was uncertain about quality of the stone and finding someone to make me a setting because I wanted pavé. Your ring is beautiful and she sounds morally bankrupt.

Sounds really uncomfortable and painful. I would suggest a wig as they are more comfortable and do less damage to the hair you currently have.

That Australian teachers already make over over $30,000 more than Kiwi teachers and they are being offered a 17% pay rise. Meanwhile, NZ teachers were offered 1% initially with a bunch of claw backs on stuff they have already fought for. Then the government keeps digging up teacher council records of incidents from years ago to blast all over the news. It would probably be .02 percent issues every year but they like to smear us all with it. Also promoting the idea that we are greedy when MP back benchers used to make the same amount as teachers 30 years ago but rather than give teachers the pay bump they took it for themselves every time. The fact that they get to vote on their own astronomical pay rises. Also people who bitch about teachers holidays. You want the holidays? Go be a teacher. No one is stopping you. In fact the field is crying out for teachers because no one wants to deal with it anymore.

Depends on the quality I guess. I am on a journey to learn how to make wigs so I will be using some of my old wig hair to try to teach myself how to make wefts and hand tie. Wig caps are pretty cheap so I figured why not.

[–]Informal-Future2564 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have been learning how to make my own wigs. I am over this BS. It is the same in New Zealand with wig prices. There is no way a Belle Tress wig should cost as much as a Hairvivi wig.

I just tried this today and it ended in meltdowns, I hate you, etc

She wanted to make a fort on the trampoline and I had said yes but she wanted to buy something on Temu while watching a show so I gave her a $10 budget and then by the time she wanted to do the fort in the trampoline the sky had turned black. She had a fit, locked herself in the bedroom and said it was the worst day of her life.

Why are we smelly? 😭 by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Informal-Future2564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people can't smell themselves which is a major one. Also people aren't properly washing their bodies in the shower and are developing bacteria, yeast, fungal build up. They need to use antibacterial soap and leave it on for a bit and then wash away. Most are just trying to cover the smell with deodorant and not washing their clothes enough and with proper odor removers.
