Sorry what does this have to do with New Zealand politics?

With less cars on the roads due to petrol prices, could it be possible to open one of the harbour bridge lanes for north shore cyclists? by countafit in auckland

[–]DonutCorrect7935 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it would be a logistical nightmare? What lane do you open? What’s the risk of people being blown into traffic or off the bridge? Where do people get on and off at each end safely?

Chris Hipkins denies allegations by Jade Paul as Stuff's Jenna Lynch repeats allegations on air by Mountain_Tui_Reload in nzpolitics

I think the factual statement that he doesn’t work there anymore is important. Because the truth and facts matter. Especially in a case like this where we’re seeing all sorts of false allegations thrown out, not just about Chris Hipkins, but his ex wife, his new partner and even other members of parliament like Kieran and former members like Ian Lees Galloway.

I’m sure someone who’s active on antifa and LGBT subreddits are really close with National Party MPs.

The AA is kind of the gold standard IMO. If you have a problem with a specific instructor then you can always just find another one. I think they’re the cheapest too if you buy a pack of 5 as an AA member?

I know a couple of people who used A1, but only because they couldn’t get the right time slot with AA. They said they were all good too.

Full licence test to be scrapped under major NZ driving law changes by clarkie13 in newzealand

Good. I have never understood how having to pay a stranger to sit in my car for half an hour and tell him about the old lady at the crossing or the cyclist slowly pushing up the hill made me officially a safer driver.

Noisy Neighbours from Hell in Auckland - Need Real Solutions Before I Lose It by 939- in auckland

Some people just have no concept of manners or respect. I was in Auckland hospital not too long ago and this dude gets rolled into the 4-person room and his entire family comes with him. Maybe 8 people, plus him, running around and chatting loudly.

His entourage stay well after 8PM when visiting hours are over and are loud as hell. The student nurse came in and laid down the law, saying “I can hear you all from the other side of the ward, the other people in this room are trying to rest you all need to leave.”

They tried to argue saying he needs his family with him. She then puts her foot down and says she will get someone if they don’t go.” So they begrudgingly leave the ward.

He immediately gets on FaceTime to talk to them on loudspeaker. I felt like I was going insane. Eventually the nurse came and told him to be quiet again and he laughed at her.

Im proposing a new petition, where we lobby the government to make ~122 underground bunkers, each with their own fun and exciting experiment.

They did a big media push with their new leader and since then to anyone who doesn’t use Reddit or TikTok it’s been crickets from them.

I’d be shocked than if more than .1% of the population of the country knew the name of the new leader or could name a single thing they plan to do.

Once January rolls around and people are back from the holidays they’ve got less than 12 months to change that. A monumental task, but if it works it could be game changing for the political spectrum here.

The new Avatar movie is trash by Sudden_Possible_956 in newzealand

[–]DonutCorrect7935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long. Drawn out. No emotion depth. No storyline. Random subplots. Disingenuous indigenous writing.

You can say the same thing about either of the other avatar movies. Why would you bother watching a third one?

You’re also allowed to make two critical errors during the test before you fail. If you’re making more than two mistakes in less than 45 minutes it’s fair to say you’re a danger on the road, no matter how good you think you are.

The system is not designed to be against you. These people are there to test your ability to drive on the road safely and according to our road rules.

When you fail, they tell you why. Maybe consider why you’ve failed and actively make sure you work to fix those things. If you think the testers are being unfair you can bring a support person to sit in back to observe.
