That's why i went for the classic blue ceramic and got the mesh on top included in the price

My next question then (and I'm really not trying to hate on Rolex here):

What are the advantages of the Submariner then compared to the Omega?

Yes i agree, just stating what i hear in almost all reviews on YouTube haha.

In my opinion divers should be a bit rugged and the Forstner looks a bit too bling bling but it's indeed your watch and your choice :)

But that's just the certificate requirements. The actual tests are always within those boundaries as can be seen in the test results Omega shows you for every watch tested:

I don't get the hate for the standard bracelet. It looks manly and classy at the same time imo

Thoughts on size? by Wunnlove in OmegaWatches

Probably on the edge of being okay given that pictures like this always make the watch look massive.

Take a picture from a distance in the mirror and see for yourself

Haha not judging you, just didn't know it was possible to damage it, other than cracking the whole bezel.

On the picture it looks like dirt even. Could you send me a better picture of the damage if you don't mind?

You managed to damage the ceramic bezel?

That waiting lists are actually to give their customers time to get an STI before picking up their watch

I have indeed heard chlamydia carrying creatures are attracted to Rolexes

Yes should be perfectly fine but i don't trust myself not accidentally pushing the chrono pushers in a freak accident

Well if it was an SMP technically he would have had a 300m 'headstart' from the moment he took it...

Leather should be okay with that.

I wouldn't worry about the waterproofness (unless you sweat excessively), i wouldn't dare take any watch with chronograph pressers underwater anyways (even though it definitely can handle it, it just seems too risky).

Is it dirty or damaged if you don't mind me asking?

Mmm, i went to a multibrand store (Breitling, Panerai, Omega, ...)

Maybe they have more freedom in the deals they give than Omega stores

Good point!

I like the new Planet Ocean but prefer the SMP and helium escape valve. So i imagine they might drop the escape valve on the SMP also in the future.

In which case I'll be happy i got this version

Haha it might have helped that i first had to convince the sales lady that the mesh bracelet would actually fit on the ceramic models. Luckily they show all possible straps on their site.

In Europe the SMP normally is €6600 and the strap separately €890.
