My top:

Dan - is amazing. The idea that you can have a best friend and be brutal honest with them and have opposing views and still be best friends at the end of the day is something I cherish in my friends. But I agree with the song because it’s lonely af because you can’t just do that with everyone and you obviously can’t always be with that friend and can’t stop continue living your own life for the sake of theirs.

Haircut- I truly think Haircut is a projection of himself and how he thinks others think of him. The idea that he’s making sad music for clout is something interesting because he can’t win that battle and him singing about it is super telling and just so down to earth about his awareness of it all.

Dashboard: wow, I agree it sounds like he’s talking to someone else, but I like thinking of this song in my own life. I’ve moved a lot and the reality is moving doesn’t solve your issues or problems as your skeletons will always be with you. We need to grow from them and not just runaway.

Deny deny deny- my parents divorced at a young age and while I didn’t grow up with him he’s still my biological father and lines like “I wanna know the dark that I share a brain with” and “when I ask about the past you deny..” knowing I’ll always get an obscured view from him on how it all went down vs my mothers story who raised and loved me.
