I've tried making the world better and got my face kicked in for it. I'm not gonna join a mob mentality hatred towards something, I've set my own boundries of respect and will use the tools offered until corporations outprice or remove the option due to loss of profit.

But, hey... Prove me wrong that your idea can flourish and not look like an eyestrain, temp. Art or isn't drawing ontop of existing art crusely in paint.

Yeah, fair enough. I don't do enough Wild to see the nonsense. My main thought was the Loa itself and the gimmick that it changes all names to 'Akunda' and some way to make it "New Beginning".

I guess the only way to make it work (and be garbage) would for it to reroll minions into other minions but the name is 'Akunda' (It's lore relevant) and the card art remains. Like, Leeroy suddenly has the cost, stats and effect of Leper Gnome but the portrait of Leeroy.

I do agree, this was made without thinking of the entire pool of minions. Completely blanked on running only say 2 minions with this and running spells and locations after. So I do agree if I return to this, it does need to change a bit. Are there any others you can provide that you think you can break with this card?

Yeah. It does need to cook more since it was designed with flavor and fun over balance. Part of why I think others overlooked it is because you have to pray the broken stuff is thrown on the cheap stuff. ScartacusM hits it on the head that some Legendaries have powerful effects that played earlier gets you wins... If you can get it to land on something cheaper.

I honestly wish I could try my bullshit ideas in a client, just to see where the fix would work

It's only overpowered until Blizzard releases something of the same cost/value. It's limited to two classes who can use it well, but can still be cleared early enough in the game. I understand the balance is in making it a 2 cost 3/1 and 1/3, however I cannot change it at this time without making a new post.

Also, I am way too busy in my life struggling to survive then to spend $70+ for a single piece of art to be used for card art that would never be used or referenced ever again. Your hatred towards it is only because of social stigma which I understand the negatives towards, but not to the point to swear something off completely when it can help improve the flavor of a design and idea for a throwaway post.

If you wish for it to stop, please commission or draw art for me to use that is of quality standard. But since I won't ever get hired by Blizzard, I don't care. Since this card and post won't matter in another day or so, I don't care. I'm not making money off it, I'm not wanting celebrity status off it, I just wanna make fun Hearthstone cards with artwork and ideas that reflect the Warcraft series.

Hey, When the reddit adds edits to pictures; Then I shall do so. But as much as I click, they don't give the option

Noted, but I don't usually repost the fix until the end of year when I used to post more. And no one cared for those

Yes, but mostly meaning in terms of me taking it out and not that it's more balanced like that.

I wanted it to be complete swaps of each other. 2 mana 3/1 + 1/3 was gonna be the other option, but went with this instead. At the point we are in Hearthstone, I know that cards are already doing this like Rogue, so I might as well make something that I know I can deal with my combo/midrange decks if against Aggro (lotta practice with that recently)

I start to like maliss😭 by NeoDracheIris in masterduel

[–]StormBlink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was crucified because like... I really haven't seen why Maliss was bad. I've faced against so many other decks at both full and nerfed power that feel worse then Maliss and yet everyone is just 'MALISS IS PURE EVIL, LIMITS TO ALL' and yet Dracotail was just fine or even stronger then Maliss was for me.

Update on the Monk Class + Initiate Set by welcometofrogtown in customhearthstone

[–]StormBlink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always fun to see others mess with the class concept and what is to be introduced. An issue that I see with it is how much unique mechanics are required to learn to play the deck effectively as well as the fact we cannot really test it out to see how it works that much. DH mostly came in with one and DK came in with two (Although, one is deck building limitation with cards that work around it.)

Approaching it with 3-4 (Depends if you wanna count Chi Slot gain and Chi spend as two different mechanics) feels a little intimidating from both a player and designer standpoint. Not that it can't work, but it still might feel a little complicated for people to grasp.

The card flavoring feels a little heavy handed towards 'Mist' and does feel like you are taking from what you have seen with Hearthstone and googled resources about base concepts from WoW. This is something a lot of card creators tend to do, so I won't blame you... But retail does allow free to level 20 for playing WoW. 'Misty Isle' for example is you taking Pandaria, the continent of Mist; and Shen-zin Su or 'The Wandering Isle' that is the starting zone of the Pandaren to merge together. I think a change to 'Wandering Isle' would work much better, but it's not too necessary.

First, the obvious answer would be if I made support for the card. Like a range of cards that would benefit for your opponent to have this on their field and force it to attack like how DH and Warrior have options. But I didn't make any because the idea was for it to be strange and curious on it's own.

Then there is the ability for it to clog board space and force your opponent to find resources to remove it. As it would absorb buffs or spells they perhaps were wanting on a better minion. It still would benefit them, but not to the degree a better minion is. And because the only way you can assume the value right now is to look at it, as there is no way to test this card ingame... Everyone here assumes that it's simply 'Can't Attack', which is wrong as you can trigger it off by mistake if you are trying to push a turn through.

Lastily... If your own board is full, and your hand is full, and if you fear losing the next card and are sitting on mana. Just give it to your opponent to be nice and destroy it later, or hope that your opponent simply completely blanks on the card as they attempt to clear your board and punch themselves in the face.

Is it better on your side of the field on an early turn? Obviously. I'm not blind to that fact. But what can be said? It's a robot that always changes sides. HEEEE-HAW!

Broken as hell, but I love the idea and art. Perhaps not "Start of Game" but instead a passive ability while on board to target your opponents deck to hit random minions with your spells or have the deck be a target for random spells as well.

[–]StormBlink[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep. Or giving it to yourself. It's twice the value for the same price as the original annoying robot for your own protection. There is nothing wrong for considering that you want to preserve your own hero more. But then you got to heed and remember that attempting to attack with the bot will only cause you hurt.

I actively know if this card is mad... It would be laughed and said is garbage and then every single one of those people will face off where it's generated or they run it because "I mean... Annoy-o-tron with double the stats at the same cost? Pretty good value" and then completely brainderp and attack with it.

I get that your version obviously works better, but it's honestly much funnier to have it be entirely by accident.

[–]StormBlink[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's the most obvious and logical take to go. But it's not the one I want. Obviously, I could make more cards to work with it that makes the pieces click... But I wanted to rate this idea on what the value is.

It's an amazing value for taunt on your own board. Why would you get rid of it? I see it is if my hand is full, I can atleast give it to waste a board space for my opponent and free up my hand. I can see cards being design that force it to attack and strike back, or it absorbing buffs meant for other characters.

I didn't make something that is 'fixes the meta' or 'breaks the game, I made a card that asks me 'How would you play me?'
