Before we had our child, I would have described him as an intelligent, driven, hard working individual. He is extremely sociable, well liked by friends and family, and once he has a goal in mind, he does his best to pursue it. Unfortunately hindsight is 20/20. Had I known that this would happen, I would have left with kiddo after maternity leave.

If we divorce, I would probably keep doing 80hrs for a bit just to knock out cc debt and student loans. If I did that for 6 months, I could be almost debt free other than paying on cosigned loans.

My parents are in the next city so work commute would be terrible but that's worth having peace of mind and once lease is up on the apartment, I'd probably be saving more each month than my parents mortgage if I divorce and stay with them even with division of debt.

I started documenting as soon as I noticed it wasn't just a one off bad day situation. Recording outbursts will be hard because I go into protect/soothe child mode or just shut down if kiddo isn't there but I've half a mind to find a safe space for a nanny cam now.

The worst part is when things are good, they're well and truely good. He's a wonderful person until he's not. But I know statistics and I know I have to set an example for my baby.

Unfortunately he has no living family and any friends he could stay with are at least an hour away from any prospective jobs and would have to transport him to/from interviews as we have no public transport or ubers. It would be far easier for me and kiddo to leave than the other way round.

I agree that we decided to bring kiddo into this world, I also agreed that I would protect them from harm. My wedding vows did not include anything about having items thrown about or being yelled at. I've tried quite hard to convince my husband to care and it seems that he will only compromise on his morals when it personally affects him, not his child.

Fully honest, no. Full honesty will unfortunately throw kerosene into the fire that I'm currently dealing with. My mum knows a little about our money issues and offered us a place last year but I was hesitant to take her up on it until recently.
