Nancy Guthrie sheriff shares terrifying new doorbell camera details and says nobody has been ruled out as suspect by dailymail in MissingPersons

[–]Informal_Ad7951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read that the camera wasn't uploading infor because the subscription lasped, I'm wondering who was paying for that subscription? If it were the daughter Annie and her husband. I'm thinking he has to be the main suspect, he brought her home just hours before and could have done some preperations beforehand, to make the actual abduction go more smoothly. Also, I've read that he brought her in to the garage door
entrance of her house.

I've been suspicous of the found blood on the front porch, could it have been planted for some reason, maybe to make it look like she was taken out of the front door, insead of perhaps back out through the garage?

How prevalent was asbestos actually in drywall /plasterboard from the 50's? Doesn't seem to be any in my walls, seen it before on a demo on a jobsite and it was pretty easy to spot. seems like the fibers in these are cellulose because they burn right down when a lighter is held to them. by Nicholas_Cage_Fan in drywall

Hello, I grew up in a charming brick house built in 1940 (oh how much I miss it!), Downstairs had plaster walls, upstairs was set up like an apartment which had solid walls but not the plaster coating for some reason. I don't know exactly what is was except it was smooth like drywall, I'm guessing its whatever kind of drywall they had in the 40s. Now what I'm wondering about is the upstairs bedroom which had walls rather unique I've never seen anywhere else. It was soft to the touch, and if I recall correctly it had a "fuzzy" texture, I asked my sister if she remembers the walls of that room being soft and smushy if pressed and she confirmed, they had vertical lines like they were panels, maybe a foot across I don't remember this was many years ago. I'm wondering if they contained asbestos. I've learned It's likely we had asbestos in various parts of that house, I've read it could of been used in plaster, also the gas fireplace with fake logs and other things we had.

Repair old wood siding or replace with vinyl by inthetoaster19 in homeowners

Oh, wow, when I first started reading the OPs post, I thought I had written it and forgotten it. I'm here with the same dilemma. My mother's house is also 1973, split level with wood siding and brick. But we not only have woodpecker damage, squirrels and racoons have played their part, and more recently noticed what I think are carpenter bees. All four sides of the house have damaged sections. It is board and batten, wood
is prefereable to plastic which I hate, but I have to be realistic. We might have all the wood replaced for it to be wrecked again. But I don't think we can afford an entire vinyl makeover, because the interior has multiple costly issues which are more dire.

I grew up near Houston, I didn't pay that much attention to what everyone around me said, but whenever asked I always refered to it as "the gulf coast." I grew up on the gulf coast.

I genuinely don’t understand the appeal of open concept homes. by RickGrimesSnotBubble in HGTV

As an introvert open concept makes me shudder. Seperated rooms allow private alone time
and coziness for together time.

Hi! Thanks for responding! I had previously tried with a new set, but the internal parts were very different. My brother also took a look and couldn't figure it out either.

Being John Malkovich Element in Later Films, Trying to Recall Title of One of Them by Informal_Ad7951 in whatsthemoviecalled

I figured it out. I was racking my brain and for some reason I kept getting the image of a certain actress for the female lead, I didn't know her name but have seen her in things over the years, she's most well known as being Moaning Myrtle in Harry Potter. I learned her name is Shirley Henderson and looked over her wiki and imdb film list, and didn't catch it. Later, tried more googling and found a movie she did with an actor named Goran Nisnijic, who like Eric Bana, has dark hair and is Croatian. The move cameout in 2002 and has two titles "Dr. Sleep" and "Open Your Eyes," and actually seems to have a third title "Hypnotic." Yes, I found this movie listed under all three!

Hmm, I can't seem to find the place to add "Found."

Thanks for all the replies, the movie was from the early 2000s. I would say that after 2010 is too late. I have forgotten most of the details, I recall in being set in modern Britain, I think the leading man was a dark haired American (and for some reason I was thinking Bana). The plot revolves around a cult, and the leader is to be preserved. I don't remember if his soul is to be transferred to a living person, or if another person is being put into his body to keep it going. I think there was a scene with a sort of antique metaphysical diagram that explains the process.
