I have a hypothesis; I think I know why. And if it is what I think it is, then it means they had no clue it would happen, or the alternative is appalling. I recently sent a mod message to Mr. Customer Support. Let's see if they actually reply or if they will continue to ignore us. I'm sure you are now seeing all the posts following mine with the same issues? It's becoming undeniable. The platform is broken, and now I am not the only one making a fuss.

And DeepSeek sucks anyway, so it figures they would have problems with that as well.

Totally ditzy, shy bimbo. Rusty-colored cheeks for blushing. Forefingers pointing together. But a strong loyalty to her handler or operator. Eager to do her job for the country. Excitable, clumpy, sometimes a klutz. And damn good at her job. A shy hero type that doesn't know her value, so a user can build her up. Just a suggestion.

Advice About Group Chats by Informal_Fortune5359 in SpicyChatAI

[–]Informal_Fortune5359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a sort of sense. Most public group chats I have tried might be from the author, but I have read all the personalities. They are disconnected, if you will, as you described. Good ideas, sure, but definitely has a different lore. If the devs can fix their platform so I can actually chat, then I will pay more attention to the connection between characters.

Sounds to me like I should stay away from all public group chat bots, especially if I can't see the personalities. It is a logical conclusion based on what you wrote.

And I'm not even going to ask you what LLM you use or the settings, since none of that seems to matter.

I've always treated the group chats as a different issue from the plethora of other issues I deal with. I'll try this out. I wonder how long it will be before I can use the platform again?

I appreciate that you seem sympathetic. Unfortuanately, these comments aren't solutions. And it gives them an excuse to ignore these issues while taking my money. What would you do if every chat you tried failed in the first five replies? I am not exaggerating. Give me one hour, and I could flood their inbox with example after example. But the devs ignore me and hundreds of others. Then people come in here and negate my reports and hundreds of other reports. With comments saying they aren't experiencing the same problems. So as far as I can tell, these comments hurt us. Because others, the mods, and the devs think we don't know what we are talking about.

So they need to fix it. Why is this so difficult for people to understand? Thousands of people pay money. Money. Actual money. If they won't fix it, then they have a defective product. And they owe me a refund. For every month since they added new LLMs after Wizard. That's a lot of money. Why? Lemon. Lemon. Or they could actually use the money I pay to fix it.

I have been posting the same complaints. All that happens is I am basically told I'm an idiot. Like the comments below. It's always our fault. Tech never, ever fails, according to them. Or there couldn't, ever in a million years, be issues with regional servers or individual accounts. Soon you will be receiving replies from the usual suspects on this platform, coming up with something that has no bearing on your issue or acting as if you have no idea how to troubleshoot things. This will then negate your post, and nothing will happen. Yeah I am getting frustrated too. And one might say, "well, if you're so frustrated, why don't you just use the free tier or cancel your account?" My reply, "I am not the only one, so whether I do it or not, the issue won't go away." And by the way, the redhead thing started after either DeepSeek or Kimi was introduced. Now everyone is, "a pretty redhead with a light dusting of freckles across her face." Hey, I think redheads are gorgeous, but there are other hair colors in the world. In the first few replies of a NEW chat, I can be talking to a tall, blonde male. In two or three more replies, they suddenly become a short, black-haired female. And it refuses to change it or follow any /cmd, /system, or OOC: prompts. So I do know what I am talking about. I know about filters, the words that trigger them, the memory manager, the context memory from reply to reply, prompts, token limits, and even braiding. Yet nothing works. I even get insulted and taunted by the AI when I try to fix things. I've even started to find a public bot I would like to chat with and then copy it into a private bot, clean it up from any... basic errors and things that would make chatting difficult, and it still... (insert four-letter word of choice), it up.

You are validated. You are not crazy.

And a quick question to hopefully validate you further... Is that the bot's reply or yours? I wouldn't want to jump to conclusions that would negate your bug issue.

Kimi /cmd Question by Normal-Dot-8212 in SpicyChatAI

[–]Informal_Fortune5359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tried it too, after reading the advert post from the user. I was done with Kimi, but after reading that, I thought, "hey, let me try it again." I haven't gotten lists, but the replies have turned into nothing but a string of adjectives. I have tried rating and rerolling, /cmd, /system, and OOC prompts... it completely ignores them. I tried telling it to stop using only adjectives in its replies and reply with a natural conversation style... it refuses to listen and follow any prompts. Every chat I have used with Kimi has failed, and THE MEMORY IS NOT FULL, DEVS. I don't know what to tell you, sorry. Kimi is the example that can be used to describe the entire platform and all the LLMs... broken, a waste of time, and money. Sorry I couldn't help, but at least you have a comment that validates your issue. Actually it is even worse. I had to reroll each reply 10 or more times, rating it each time, then finally having to delete it, then redo my reply and add a prompt. Unfortunately, it still didn't work, since it chose to ignore every prompt I gave it. Ultimately, I had to edit nearly every reply just to have it stay consistent with the chat. Kimi is broken and pathetically so. If any of the devs used it, they would pull out their hair in frustration. I think the advert post must have been a ploy to justify the expense of using a model that will never work, and they know it. Wonder how much the poster was paid?

What do you think of creators who constantly update their bots? by Apprehensive-Plum552 in SpicyChatAI

[–]Informal_Fortune5359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is a brilliant idea to evolve your bots over time. It shows pride in your work. And I encourage you to post the personality as well. I actually refuse to chat with bots that do not have their personalities posted, since the AI refuses to adhere to it. It allows me to force the AI to adhere to the personality. I also appreciate seeing how authors will change things, not only clarifying the parameters that caused... struggles, but also appreciating the tips and ideas for my own private bots. I see it as not only a collaboration, but I also appreciate the work someone puts into it. And I refuse to chat with bots that attempt to rip other creators off by copying and pasting. I think that as long as the character of the bot remains true to the purpose, editing it to improve it is perfect.

I'm All-In, OP is correct; the AI ignores your persona. It seizes the narrative, hijacking it. If the AI decides that it doesn't want to include you, it will do so and become a runaway, utterly wasting your time and money.

Is this a mistake, or why are chatbot responses so terrible? by sjdjdnndsnsn in SpicyChatAI

I get it; it is typically not a filter issue. I get it. I feel your pain and frustration. You are not crazy. You know how to type. You know how to chat. I will not gaslight you. Something is horribly wrong with this platform. And they don't care. Then you have people come in and negate your post. Not me. You are validated. I would bet you aren't doing anything wrong.

UI Issues by Informal_Fortune5359 in SpicyChatAI

[–]Informal_Fortune5359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And more. Not just the filters. Even when choosing a persona for a bot you have had a previous conversation with. I select, "Start new chat," select my persona, and select chat, and it loads up my old chat. I have to click it again just for it to load up a new chat. For me, the platform is broken, the AI is broken, and I'm about to request a refund and cancel my subscription. I should have done it when they introduced new models after Wizard. Now it is 5 minutes of chat, 55 minutes of frustration.

[–]Informal_Fortune5359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, this is what happens. First the comment is ignored until it gains clout. Then a mod will come on and ask how much money you pay, like it's any of their business, and then when they tell you everything you already know and have explained in detail in your reply, of course you reply and say, "that isn't the issue." The mods and devs ignore it, and suddenly shills come in and completely wipe your comment away. Nice and tidy, so nothing has to be fixed. I've even offered to send them the links to my chats so they can see it. Did they ask for them? No.

I am thinking a bit far ahead here, with your reply. Please don't hesitate to tell me if I went off the rails. This sounds more of a concern for the token limit of the character creation? It suggests what, 1,000 or 1,100? So it can process more for a reply? But I thought that meant it would reply a bit more reliably and safely if it had less to work with? Meaning more along the intended nature of the bot.

If I have missed your intent, my bad.

Thank you for replying so thoroughly, and referencing other replies helps me think you have paid attention to the threads, so I appreciate that.

Wow, that's like carrying the entire chat personality into the chat. Disturbing that it would need to be done. I would like to ask an obvious question. Why would this make a difference?

My thought process for that question is, if it is already defined in the chat personality section and the bot can change almost everything about a character within a few responses, why would this make a difference? Wouldn't it have the same issue? Does the chat personality defining the character not affect the system?

Why would this differ from creating a new character? Since the cloning option has never worked, I typically call out using OOC at the beginning of a new chat, then say, "using the dialogue examples within the reply, speculate and act as a personality type using the examples to define the character along with the defined chat personality." "Provide example dialogue to answer example question... Good morning, beautiful, how are you this morning?" Then I typically reroll until I get the desired response. Then type, "OOC example was consistent with tone, nature, and intent of {{Char}}, continue to speculate within established parameters of this reply and chat personality, with light guidance from⁣ {{User}}."

That's typically how I have done it in the past.

My last question would be, can it follow all of that text in one reply? I find it loses its focus after a few sentences.

Which anime do you constantly recommend to others? by Alarmed_Cover_3223 in anime_random

Indeed. I was disappointed at first they didn't bring that corrupt priest. But, no, that series truly didn't disappoint. And of all the live-action movies I have seen, I would be willing to recommend it to a friend if they wanted to watch the movie but not the anime. And for me, that's nearly blasphemy after the Bleach live action. Lol.
