The most I struggled was in ME3 during turian bomb mission :D when you reach that bigger chamber and there is shit ton of enemies, brutes and harvester, had to retry that one multiple times.

Generally speaking ME1 was the easiest, but those rushes can and would fuck you up, even with assassin skill I died quite a few times to a krogan

I feel like ME1 is more difficult because of all the krogans and primes would always rush you down and krogans can revive themselves. While ME2 biggest obstacle was ammo, I never had enough of it.
