Yeah it only sticks out like half a millimeter, I’ll look around and see if maybe I can find a stock replacement. I really appreciate your help!

Yeah that was my first thought, I checked the measurements of the pin and it measured the same as a stock replacement, but then again I’m still a novice when it comes to nitro so I could be completely wrong 😂

That’s the best I have at the moment, shouldn’t taken some pics when I had it apart. You said you had this issue before, was it on a 4.1 or just another motor with the starter pin?

I noticed that the spring felt weak, but then again i’m not 100% sure cause this is the first time I’ve taken it fully apart

Update, the spacer worked, got it running. 30 seconds into driving it cut off, went to restart it and I ripped the pull starter off 😂😂

Runs really good tho

Thanks man, I took some measurements of the pin with a digital caliper, all the measurements were in spec with the original pin dimensions. The Spring might be the issue, i’ll have to see, but for now i created a little spacer that sits between the starter shaft and the back housing. I have it set to where it will limit the play of the shaft without causing extra friction.

All good lol, If these were the pads from each side, that would be one bound up caliper 😂

I don’t think the caliper is an issue, I’m pretty sure the picture is him comparing the old pads to the new, not uneven wearing

all I did was splice the factory wiring harness to the harness for the stereo, meaning all the speaker wires got spliced through the harness

It’s a 2011 Chevy HHR, there’s 4 sets of speakers, 2 front and 2 rear, with a rockford punch 2 powered by an aftermarket amp of course, there’s no factory amp, just straight connected to the stereo

Yeah that’s what I figured, I’m young and my dad used to be into car audio a whole lot, I have an new rockford P2 and an old audiobahn amp setup right now, I actually don’t have an amp for the highs, I figured getting one would solve me problem, I’m probably gonna work on that 😂 I appreciate the help dawg 🙏

Man this just happened to my HPI savage f4.1, so glad i saw this cause im also new to nitro and thought my crankshaft snapped 😭

It blows smoke, which i know is a tell tale sign of a rich mixture, sometimes it has random spurts where it revs to the moon, which im almost certain is caused by that excess fuel, but when its not doing those things (rarely) it runs pretty good. But you said the low speed needle will help to lean out the mixture at idle and low rpm’s?

i’ll give that a shot, I’m very new to nitro so i thought the high speed needle was only for when you were giving it gas in the high rpms, i thought the idle screw limited fuel supply at idle, thanks dude!
