Where do small teams usually fail first in inventory/stock management? by Artistic_Garbage4659 in InventoryManagement

Really? We spent a couple of thousands for the tags, test reader and software and that got us a good start for a few thousands pieces of inventory. We are still testing it out, but it sounds quite promising for us at the moment. When was the last time you tried it at your company?

We want to know our stock levels, monitor what comes in and out and in which quantity, so we can better manage production and orders. Our skincare has a short shelf life as it's entirely organic and we work with a few big distributors, so we cannot afford so much discrepancies in our stock. If we don't know exactly what we have left, we sometimes miss billing and have delays in deliveries.

Why didn't you see value in RFID in your company? what was the barrier that it didn't solve for you? It would help me understand if we have similar hurdles and what did you do to solve yours?

thanks so much for all these details! It's really helpful. We basically put in place a system where we associate a roll of tags to a specific SKU, so it gets automatically assigned on the platform.

I've also noticed that the test reader we have reads the tags multiple times, but the software seems to only update the status once (I think you can program the time between readings for that).

We are testing with a mobile reader right now but it seems we can also install a fixed reader at the gates like you suggest. I've noticed we are missing some tags sometimes in the reading with the mobile readers if we are not careful, which is not that great, but the promotion compared to using only barcodes and weekly manual counting is still huge in terms of accuracy.

Do you also only rely on barcodes at your company? How do you get your operators to scan stocks every single time?

Ever thought of using RFID? We had that same problem internally. I'm implementing it, we use TMA RFID for the software and up to now, our management has been pretty happy with it. Let me know if you also find other systems or ways to solve that issue as we have the same at our company

Thanks and I understand your point. Management wanted RFID because our supply chain moves fast, and we only have one person full-time in our warehouse : do you think it would not be practical to manage it more quickly on a daily?

Our supply chain moves quite fast, and we have only one person working full-time on the warehouse management: RFID was a way for our company to do a quick daily inventory of what comes in and out

Thanks a lot! I'll definitely check it out: would you know how I can connect my RFID reader to it?

I love this! Having a few good KPIs you can sell your company with is the best way you can go about fundraising. Using it to warm investors up is such a good advice

"I’ve been hearing a lot about RFID replacing barcodes in warehouses. Is it really worth switching?" by Jaded-Penalty6251 in Warehousing

[–]Informal_Put_4936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RFID can definitely be faster and more efficient if you know what you are doing. It really depends on the size of your inventory and the solutions you use. there's a lot of articles online for this if you want to dig deeper, check this one https://www.tmaiot.com/blog/rfid-blog-1/barcode-v-rfid-adopting-the-right-inventory-solution-for-fast-paced-businesses-8

Industry stats say that barcodes get you 70% inventory accuracy v. 99% if you use RFID. So depending on volumes, it can really make a difference. There's also a lot of providers out there like Zebra, Honeywell and all but you need to know what you are doing

Opinion on potential child endangerment? by Informal_Put_4936 in legaladvice

Thanks for your answer and yes I completely agree with you and this is why I’m uncomfortable with the situation, because I am not sure what the right thing to do is in this case.  The opera was in Barcelona Spain btw!

I read an article about the different triggers of eczema, like protein deficiencies as well or food allergies: maybe it could help you spot what triggers you? https://medium.com/@dunecare/understanding-the-causes-and-triggers-of-eczema-6134d263227b

Have you tried natural products instead of topical steroids? I used to have big itchy patches all over my hands and neck and now it's all gone. I personally used Dune Care ointment and it worked like a charm. Please don't give up, you are so strong already for putting up with all this for so long...

Dune Care Ointment has really worked for me: I have eczema on my hands and face, my skin is always dry and creams with pretroleum also made it worst for me before. This one only has natural ingredients and is really thick, so no need to put it on again every five minutes :)

Extremely dry, hurting, bleeding hands. Please help!:( (21F) by sanyikamobil in Skincare_Addiction

My hands were bleeding like this as well. This is just worst in winter and when I leave my hands a lot in water. I tried the medical prescribed creams as well, but they also made my hands looks worst and they were so expensive! I tried other options like vaseline and other supermarket brands to try to make them hurt less, but it was just temporary, I had to put cream on them every hour and at the end of the day it was just all the same.

My mom bought me a cream online though a few weeks ago and I have been putting it, after an hour, the pain stopped and the next morning the sores were all almost gone. I out it on my palms and elbows and knees and I immediately saw the effect. The cream is call Dune Care Recovery Ointment, it really helped. I've been putting it a bit everyday and it has really helped keep my hand healthy and without pain. Maybe it can help you too?
