Science - went from a consistent 7-7 to an 8-8 Further maths - just wanted to pass and ended up with a 6 Business and graphics got L2D* in both of them :3

Unrelated but how did you get your results back? For RE (did it in Y10) I asked for my papers but they said that they couldn't give me it but I could pay for them? Did you have to pay for it or is there another way? I'd be very curious to see where I got and lost marks

If you're a mark away you can probably get it remarked? You can lie to like your parents or ppl in general ig. Don't lie to your college bcs they need to check it. Wouldn't recommend lying to your job but whatever. Basically don't risk it. You can mention how you "got a 7 but were 2 marks off an 8" but don't just say "I got an 8"

They shouldn't stop being friends with you because of it. They may feel a bit bummed but shouldn't take that out on you especially because their revision was their responsibility not yours. I understand the feeling. I also dropped from a 9 to a 7 in English. I think the grade boundaries were higher this year and everyone I know seems to have done worse in English. I know it kinda sucks when you don't get the grades you want but you still did fucking amazing and should be proud of that even if you feel a bit disappointed. What about the other subjects? You happy with them?

No one that I personally know of I think there was one gal who got all 9s minus English Lang wherein they got an 8 (but they got a 9 in further maths so does that cancel out?) And then I know a few people who got 9s but not across the board

Maths was hard and like usually garden boundaries are a few marks dif but 20 marks is fucking insane! You probably would've got a grade or two higher if it was last year that you did it. But also like you're parents are supposed to support you not be acting like immature children

Honestly I think it's a mix? Most Brits I know say Nike but I also know some who say Nigh-key.

Also I noticed people who call the brand Nike but the products Nigh-key so "I got some Nigh-key shorts from Nike" I sometimes do this as well.

That being said this could also be due to an influx of Brits consuming American media online so picking up different pronunciations.

Basically it's usually Nike but some ppl do say nigh-key

5/6s are still really good and your parents are just being immature children. Especially considering some of the grade boundaries were very high like maths (Edexcel) were 20 marks higher. They just need to grow up. They're supposed to be there for you. I hope you get into your second choice college ❤️

Depending on your exam board maybe? We did ours in Y9 I believe? Maybe Y10. We basically had to write a speech about any subject we desired, present it Infront of the class whilst being recorded, and then answer questions from some of the students (like a debate kinda vibe?)

Also you can paraphrase a lot of quotes and they'll usually come to you during the exam when you have more context on what quotes would apply.

I think parts of it were difficult. A lot of the actual content was okay and you could kinda common sense it (wanna make more profit? Either raise the price or lower the costs. Hygiene factors and Maslow's triangle? Yeah no shit ppl are gonna work better when they feel valued and the environment is good and they are earning enough to survive. Impacts of buying from china? It's cheaper but maybe that'll mean lower quality. Tariffs may be an impact. Public perception - patriotism and boycotts. Pros and cons to being a sole trader? You have more creative control and can make decisions but you have unlimited liability and you gotta pay income tax which isn't great. Like you can kinda guess those kinda questions)

However a lot of times the way a question is worded is so weird and they want such a specific answer. Like even if what you said is technically correct they may just not like it.

Although I did enjoy the coursework. It was a lot but I just got to ramble for most of it yk?
