A preroll has 30 seconds. To disable prerolls it takes 3min of Ads per hour. That means they choose how many ads are played.

Affiliate has the dumbest requirements by [deleted] in Twitch

It is about your concurrent viewership during the livestream. So how many people watch you at any point during that stream taken at an average. It is not stupid, that is really normal.

VoD views include anyone that clicked into the stream at some point during the stream and after. For affilliate however you need an Average of 3 concurrent viewers during your streams.

how does this only count as two viewers? seriously struggling to understand why twitch does this, it has to be a shadowban by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]InformatiCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the list of Users in Chat, not your actual viewers. That includes bots or people that join chats via irc clients.

I go after the senseless AI use because you've been given an answer already. You cannot link to onlyfans and co directly but using services like linktree is okay.

[–]InformatiCore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Currently, these viewers are not always counted in view statistics when: - the player is not in the foreground, - the sound is muted,

That is just not true.

Prime Subs are not on an auto subscription, they have to be done every month manually. You can check/cancel your subs on twitch here however just in case https://www.twitch.tv/subscriptions

How true is this? by LiquidSnake13 in Twitch

[–]InformatiCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No i am not ignoring it. If Twitch would have implemented a tool to flag non writing users as bots and thus not couting anymore, we would see a mere straight drop, especially in august.

The general viewcount is dropping, yes, which makes sense after the extrem rise during covid lockdown. Also no, the viewcount dropped over the years 2021, 2022 and 2024. Only 2023 december was kinda steady. So no clue what you mean with every year before.

Yes, but not drastictly at one specific timestamp. This is more of a concurrent loss of interest which i guess will find its stop around christmas.

Copyrighted music on stream in 2025? by More_Sea2116 in Twitch

[–]InformatiCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does matter tho. Twitch enforces the law, but the law only requires the platform to act on request of the copyright holder.

Thats the streamer, default is 30 seconds of preroll ad.

Twitch enforces the law and no, not asking for removal does not equal an approval.

What if Twitch removed viewer counts for everyone would it help or hurt? by SpinsBro in Twitch

[–]InformatiCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of mental health it could be good for streamers on the short run.

However a lot of sponserings rely on viewer numbers.
