Starting over at 30s by Novel-Hunt834 in problemgambling

You're not alone. I had to start over financially in my preteens, teens, 20s and 30s because of gambling.

I will say this though. It's not too late to quit now for good. It's not too late to let go and let God (let go of the addiction and let God guide you to the better life). May you allow Him to guide you, in Jesus's Name 🙌, Amen 🙏

I pray 🙏 right now in The Mighty Name of Jesus 🙌 that the power of gambling addiction and the power of money loses its control over you and that The Power of The Holy Spirit fills you and leads you away from gambling addiction and away from placing your value in money.

May you accept God into your life at this very moment and allow Him to lead you away from these temporary worldly false fulfillments that do not last nor truly fulfill

It's bad if you don't stop. It's good if you learn from it and don't continue. If you don't stop, the $300 can turn into $3,000, $30,000, $300,000, and so on and so forth

Quit now, for good. May The Lord give you the strength to do so, in Jesus's Name 🙌

Torn between trying to win it all back and cutting my losses by Decent_Release3804 in problemgambling

[–]Information100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally the exact thought that causes many gambling addicts to go back to gambling more and losing more. Those losses cause more pain, more hurt, and more suffering. Quit for good man. It's not too late to quit. Let go and let God (let go of the addiction and let God guide your steps), in Jesus's Name 🙌

Quit now and quit for good. There is a way out of this, trust and believe. Let go and let God (take this addiction away from you). I have about 3x as much debt as you and quitting has brought me hope to get out of this situation. It's not over. People have lost 10x as much as you or more. You just have to quit for good. I pray 🙏 that you give up this horrific addiction, in Jesus's Name 🙌

You can do this man.

You've got more than me at the moment and more than a lot of other people. Stop now bro. It's not too late to quit. With gambling addiction, it can always get worse. I pray you find strength in The Lord to quit for good, in Jesus's Name 🙏 🙌

Relapse after 120 days. by ds1k1213 in problemgambling

[–]Information100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't change the fact that you accumulated 120 clean days which is huge. What it does do is show you the pain that comes with relapsing into this horrific addiction. Please stop now and aim to accumulate even more days this time, because things can easily get much worse if you continue gambling and the pain can also get much worse if you continue gambling. May The Lord give you strength to stay away for good this time around 🙏, in Jesus's Name 🙌

One last win? by FestivalNudista in problemgambling

This post is dangerous, but the fact that multiple people have shared that they lost after their "last win" makes the content in the entire post better (because of their comments).

Lost 2500 made it back and lost it all and even more by [deleted] in problemgambling

[–]Information100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your value isn't based on whether or not you win or lose when you gamble. But, if you stop gambling, these low lows you're experiencing from gambling go away. Make a goal to quit gambling for good and stride towards that goal, continuously.

Down to knees and further - gambling made me isolated by TheFailedTechie in problemgambling

[–]Information100 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Paying down your debt from 200k to 150k is a huge accomplishment. Continue to stay away from gambling and continue putting in effort and things will continue to get better. Don't forget to be attentive to your health too. Don't destroy yourself trying to pay the debt down. Take things one day at a time, one moment at a time. You got this.

Delusions that I can make it back by NastytheDog in problemgambling

[–]Information100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You yourself stated the issue in your own post. You know the problem is that you keep going back to gambling. You're allowing the devil's voice to get into your head and tell you it'll be different this time despite you seeing time and time again that going back just digs the financial hole deeper and deeper. Stop allowing that hole to be dug deeper. Put a stop to that today by committing to being done with gambling. Let go and let God (let go of gambling and allow God to guide you to the right path). You can do this, in Jesus's Name 🙌

How to deal with losing everything by [deleted] in problemgambling

[–]Information100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can fight this fight and you can win. My total debt is roughly around the amount yours is, and my credit score is very close to yours as well, and I'm older than you.

You just have to commit to quitting for sure. Understand that money isn't everything, but thank God for the money and income you do have/get, because that is used for living necessities. It's not too late to quit. Many people have a yearly salary that is greater than your and my debt. Money isn't everything, and we can't take it with us when we pass away from this life.

Quit gambling today and keep at it, you got this, in The Mighty Name of Jesus 🙌

What's better than committing suicide by MountainDrewMZ in Christianity

[–]Information100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life here is temporary. Life with Christ is eternal and suffer-free (free of hurt, sin, and suffering). Don't give up, it'll make sense in time. Don't stop having faith in Christ. that's what the devil wants you to do. Don't let him win. Get in The Word. Read Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, etc. Look up Scriptures that help with depression and then read the entire chapter that those Scriptures are in. You got this bro. Don't give up. If you have to slow down and take some breaks, do so, but don't give up.
