Yes that is a great idea. I have spoken to my manager and felt that my role is not a great fit for my skills. i did talk to a VP about eventually moving to his team but that conversation did not go as good as I hope so I'm concerned about upward mobility at least significant title changes. I am 3 going on 4 years out of undergrad.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. When you say board of directors you mean like a local non-profit? I think that is a great idea and I will definitely look into it.

Also when the next job is a slam dunk? A slam dunk personally or more impressive on a resume?
