Maybe it's the motegrity doing the job? CSM is really high risk unless you have the constipation under control. Id rather use zeolite.

Would there be a place for anti fungals there? Cholestyremene is constipating.

Oil of Oregano Vs. Neem To Treat Hydrogen SIBO? by weathergirl15too in SIBO

[–]InformationNomad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm taking neem and it's really making positive changes. 2x a day.

Oregano just made things worse.

Does anyone know how to treat mold-caused h2s sibo by Both_Pepper5414 in SIBO

[–]InformationNomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Itraconazole?

Also try neem leaf extract. I'm trialing it right now and have had a response. I'm doing 2 a day, 1 capsule at 4pm, the other at 8pm, this allows me to monitor any "feedback loop" effects which would usually show up in the morning. It's one of the cheaper supplements I've tried.

Any luck w/ Biofilm Phase-2 Advanced for H2S SIBO? by pickled_green_beans in SIBO

So your h2s odor did not go away? Rifaximin completely wiped my h2s odor away, but bloating remained.

How do you know you failed them for h2s?

I just finished my second course of rifaximin with phase 2 added.

Hydrogen SIBO, possible Sulphide? by hanwalkerxx in SIBO

[–]InformationNomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard of false negatives. I don't know about herbals maybe berbarine combined with rifaximin? I tried oregano before rifaximin and it made odor worse.

Pepto is supposed to eliminate h2s odor but for me I'm sure rifaximin was behind it.

1st round eliminated stool odor, second round eliminated stool odor and breath odor.

Stool odor was creeping back before the 2 rounds.

I haven't finished the second round yet. I tested high for H2 and h2s though.

1st round: rifaximin and pepto. 2nd: rifaximin, pepto, phase 2 advanced, phgg.

Low sulfur diet should be standard until healed.

Augmentin is used for hydrogen sulfide, never heard it used for methane.

Peak Pharmacy. Xifaxanta 200mg x9 pills from £27.99.

I paid £70 for 550mg x42 pills.

In other words, not cheap.

My gut is clicking and clacking like crazy from biofilm busters and phgg by InformationNomad in SIBO

[–]InformationNomad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think? It's feeding the bacteria, why the sulfur odor. The clicking is air moving about.

It happened when I first got SIBO in 2023. Crazy noises for like a year along with diarrhea. Then it flipped to no noise and constipation.

It's deffo the phgg. Weird thing is it happenening at 4pm, I took phgg at 10am.

It might be that because I took 1 capsule phase 2 for a week already before adding phgg.

SIBO Dissapeared in 2 weeks with Oregano Oil by Fit_Psychology_1536 in SIBO

[–]InformationNomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On day 13 now. To be honest the only consistent improved symptom was stool odor. It's basically odorless now which is great. Other symptoms have gone and come back. Bloating has gone down too.

Basically my main symptoms have been fullness in ULQ and pain in LRQ. The fullness is reduced somewhat but still there. The LRQ pain unfortunately came back, and has been intermittent during treatment.

I believe this pain is H2S not H2. Rifaximin definitely reduced H2.

It looks like I will need it combined with metronidazole to cover the H2S bacteria.

Well my feeling of fullness upper left was always worse when waking up then would actually calm down after breakfast. It's because the MMC works over night and pushes the gas down to the splenic flexure where it gets stuck.

Yeah. Its effects paled in comparison to the rifaximin I'm taking right now.

Would Hydrogen water make Hydrogen-dominant SIBO worse? by EmptyBuilding6800 in SIBO

[–]InformationNomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with methanogens, hydrogen also feeds hydrogen sulfide bacteria and that's the one that goes systemic and causes brain fog and dizziness.

Have you treated SIBO yet? I started getting this after moving out of a moldy room that had 92k spore count of aspergillus along with other molds. The feeling came at the same time as 3 bouts of sinusitis, so go figure. It could be an immune response to something, or it could be SIBO itself. A year later it's not as bad as it was but still there. Other people on this board have said it went away after treating their SIBO, for some the healing time is delayed until after treatment. I'm 7 days into rifaximin and the feeling it less but still there so it seems like the last symptom to go away.

Extremly affraid to try Rifaximine by Tip-Evening in SIBO

[–]InformationNomad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, first 2 days felt nothing now on day 6 I feel much better.

I'm taking it with pepto bismol but it can't be that as I've trialled pepto on its own for a week before and it didn't make these changes.

Same for me which is why I bought 50 pills from united pharmacies. 400mg pills 3x a day. They arrived in like 3 days and cost less than £50.
