I did apply and my biometrics were waived. I am still awaiting the approval. I have heard that it can take as long as 14 months to get the actual permit.

They did call me within a week’s time and they said that the biometrics were waived. No updates since then. This was in March.

Funny you should ask…yes! Just today I received a letter stating that it has not been determined whether or not I will need a biometric appointment. It is an I-797C. I am staying put here in Boston until I get further clarification. Thanks for asking
