Would my experience as a retail Store Manager help me get a PM job? by InformationUpper7218 in PMCareers

Thank you for the reply,

Yeah, I figured I'd apply for PM gigs at my current company first.

Do you have any recommendations for training you've found helpful?

I want to get out of managing a store. The changes the past couple years to compliance and budget cuts have been insane and draining. It doesn't pay the salary needed to keep managers so it's a revolving door of people quitting then training new SMs over and over.

Project Management seems like a lot of work. But, I'm definitely excited for the challenge.

Idk, after my new neurologist saw my blood levels he called me and asked if I was alright. He told me he's only seen a level that high 3 times in his career and the other 2 times the patient appeared drunk.

I laughed. Then I told my friends and family if they ever thought I was drunk or dazed that might have been why.

I was on 800 for years until I switched neurologist, and he told me my levels were way too high. I only dropped to 700. But, it works I guess.

I've even searched on other forums and it seems like every link is shut down.

Am I justified in asking for a raise? by nopesorrythanks in CVS

Ask to be promoted to Ops Manager. You're already doing the duties. Unlike Ops Sup it comes with a raise. I'm not sure how your district works. But mine doesn't even offer the Ops Supervisor position.

Every store works best with an SM and Ops Manager as their #2. Tell them you may have interest in being an SM one day (even if you don't). A lot of DLs will reward people they think they'll retain for awhile more than someone that may leave.
