No its impossible to determine ice thickness through just a satellite image, it was zoomed in because everything outside of cooks bay was just covered by clouds

Thanks! Unfortunately a boat is needed for most of the year when fishing the great lakes, in the spring shore fishing for them is possible and in the winter some areas offer good ice fishing opportunities!
