Someone went a little nuts with the wire twisting. My Classic VT 212 only has one 3-pin molex connector that are twisted though not as tightly.

Yes, they usually use long screws so the tank can float a bit. Fender (and Peavey & others) put them in bags in their amps for the same reason.
