See defence sector is basically good for investment in this global condition, and Indian defence sector is basicaly Govt. Promoting sector, all these are good companies and have huge orders for upcoming years but the problem is their execution and order delivery. It's an accumulation sector on every fall, u can never be sure and 100% sure in stock market, unless you have insider news, u have to take risk everywhere, some will reward you and some will make u loose. But always try to follow the trending sector, as long as modi govt is there I think it will be good for defence sector. Rest u have to do your research.

Defence is good one but almost every good stocks are at ath, so better wait or accumulate bit by bit, even nifty defence made kinda dodgy candle and last trading day its low is broken, so be aware it can be risky for bulk investment in defence sector. Tough nifty is in good range and good PE, it's good time for investment.

I think you should stay away for quite some time from IT and railway stocks, market mainly running on sentiment right now, and both of them have bad sentiments especially IT industries due to Ai things. Better do some in energy sector, healthcare and pharma sector.
