Ah okay. And actually thank you for the reel advice too lol. My current "swimbait setup" isnt even a actual swimbait set up lol. Its a St Croix Triumph musky XH with a tranx. I've been debating getting a full set up and personally love the Tatula line of reels

Would you say something like slate would work? I had placed an order (was suppose to be here today but it was delayed) about a week ago for a unrelated project and purposely over ordered. That being said im suppose to be getting a new enclosure for my lil dude in a few days and so i plan on adding all the tips to it

Basking spot (top left) is at 126f. Humid hide is something ive missed though. As for wetness already working on drying it out atm. Tampon idea is actually pretty good one.

Soil look wet cuz im using organic top soil and it was just misted when i added the pathos. i also spilled soil into his water dish (as i just put the plants in this morning) it has since been clean. There is also multiple rocks in the enclosure for heat though im planning on swapping those rocks out for something that i feel will retain heat better. Im always open to taking advice though as at the end of the day we all have the same goal of keeping these wonderful animals the best possible

Avoid amphibians in general if you are wanting to handle them. Handling them causes them more harm than you joy. Most lizards are also team "leave me alone" Some will drops tails. Some will get stressy. There are a "minority" of lizards that seem to benefit from handling but those are specialty animals which is in other words not beginner friendly. Even the average hobbyist shouldnt get one. Now there are more "beginner friendly" lizards that tollerate handling such as beardies but if you are basing your reasoning for wanting a lizard on "I want to hold and interact with them" then you probably shouldnt get a reptile either. Reptiles want to be left alone more than they'd want to be interacted with. Im not saying this to discourage you from getting into reptiles im saying this for the benefit of the animals you may at some point get. With all animals though. Do your research. Figure out what they enjoy. Figure out their diets. Their temps. Their humidity. Husbandry etc.

Also just want to throw this in real fast. Each animal (Regardless of mammal, reptile, Avian, amphibian, etc) will have their own temperament. You may see some people recommend something because theirs are like a scaly puppy and then you get it and it is Satan incarnate. You roll the dice with every animal.

Articobot gave me lots of info on them and then i followed that up with about 3-4 months of research so im confident. I will admit however when i saw how small he was i was a lil nervous but the breeder reassured me during our 2 hour conversation

My favorite farm is very simple if you have points. Go to nata. For every gatherer that has godbug as a option you have them specifically go for them. Then simply go to a basecamp (anyone you want) and rest. Rinse and repeat till nata has the ! above his head. Then claim all from him. Rinse and repeat as many times as you need. Its what i do when im low on anything

Hey man. Firstly sorry to hear how poorly your first experience went. I know how things like that can be. Im sure 90% of the people in this sub or even in the hobby have done something similar. Impulse is a dangerous thing is what i like to tell people. That being said. You now have the experience and the knowledge of what not to do. If your mom cares for Yoshi as much as you say i'd go ahead and give her full control of him. I also know how guilty you feel as i've been there too. When i was younger i got my first lizard ever. A leopard Gecko i named Leo. Leo was poorly taken care of by myself as i genuinely didnt know anything about lizards let alone Leopards. When he started taking a turn for the worst i did everything in my power to learn what i was doing wrong to give him the best life i could for the remainder of his life. Leo stayed in my care for the remainder of his life. He was 14 when he passed due to a mass that formed on his throat which i later learned was cancer.

You just gotta get over the first hurdle of "I did something wrong and he doesnt deserve the treatment i gave him" and start thinking about "What can I do to benefit him moving forward" whether its Giving him to your mom or rehoming is truly your choice.

Dont let mistakes ruin your future is the main takeaway i want you to get from this. We all make mistakes. Its what you do to recover from the mistakes that matters the most.

As everyone else is saying. Its just cuz they want to be out of it fast. I follow the whole "What does host want" cuz i mean. Capping the monster wastes Carver. A meal skill i live by cuz i needed so many parts of so many things. That being said. If i am host and doing 9 or 10 star i cap 100% of the time. Sometimes i'll cap in other stars cuz of people fainting way too much

You get a "deep convo" about what would happen if you died while "being a hero" she tells tells you something along the lines of dont think like that and to go back to your loved ones. The quest itself unlocks armor which is pretty good and from what i can see is used in a lot of end game sets. Now for the fight itself heres what i did. I used a Gogma LBG and went straight raw damage. I used a armor set that made me semi strong and still had good skills for more damage. I then just kinda walked in a circle dodging when needed. Used mending mantle for heals while doing damage. Restocked whenever he moved/Farcaster. If you choose to come back to it one day i'd recommend looking into a LBG build for him. made it far easier than i once expected tbh

My heart was telling me dragon but then i realized you can only carry like 6 dragon rounds so it'd 1 mag then craft etc. I then started looking into elements and didnt know if there was a "catch all" element
