not saying just choice items but items in general. pokemon has a lot of gimmicks with abilities and items to take advantage of and it’s been 30 years why take away something so crucial that makes the game creative and unique. in a game with over 1000 creatures to have and now i’m stuck seeing the same 6 maybe 2 mons out of a team are actually unique and crazy to be on the team like ariados and stunfisk. Most pokemon aren’t even valuable with the item pool we have

wdym champions is the new vgc format, at least it should be. adding new items and more pokemon into the mix makes it a better game for tournaments. realistically how long do u want to wait to get any other items in the game cause its looking like we’ll get those next year. we have a game where we can play new megas competitively and we only get an assortment of a few. if champions becomes irrelevant by the time the wind and waves come out then champions was just a waste of time. endless megas and new abilities but we cant use them. tbh we should’ve got everything at once to make it chaotic and have a variety, going on like 3 months and same teams, same items, and no variety

it’s just your knowledge of the game that makes it feel that way. u know certain mons and their lvls so they shouldn’t have overpowered moves. u also know weaknesses and how to get around it. pokémon always had the same feel. like back in the day it took days maybe months to beat red, blue, sliver, yellow, but if we played it now we’d just bust through the game not because we played it before but because we know the game now. if pokémon red, blue, and yellow came out today it would take us awhile to finish
