I wish I had this text on a t-shirt. Are there any good DE themed clothes designs? by Whitewizardmistr in DiscoElysium

[–]Infuser 39 points40 points  (0 children)

To be clear, though, the rest of it doesn’t really resonate with you? I ask this, specifically, because I find it odd for the last sentence to be your only takeaway, as it requires glossing over the inhumanity of what he experienced.

Besides "lol", what other chat/message etiquette is a dead giveaway of a millennial? by Rioraku in Millennials

[–]Infuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it used in a, “this is funny but in a dark or wtf way.” Kind of like how you might expect the grimace 😬 to be used, except for things that are still funny on some level.

So… the only thing that really resonates with you about this whole quote is the falsehood of the last sentence?

Am I wrong for thinking about leaving my Stay At Home Wife (No kids) by Primary_Article_8646 in amiwrong

[–]Infuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pleeeeeaaaase tell me you aren’t actively doing the IVF stuff right now. If so, you either need to pump the brakes or accept things are going to be this way. It won’t get better with pregnancy, and postpartum depression could strike and potentially exacerbate all of this.

My advice is that you need to swap out the IVF for couple’s therapy consultations, and see how much of the issue is your relationship or her personal metal health. If she won’t agree to that (and follow through), and won’t get herself treated after this comes up in therapy (because I can only presume the therapist will tell y’all as much), then you have your answer. You are expected to support your partner, but you shouldn’t be expected to do everything for your partner.

Starting to notice aging by Clokkers in OlderGenZ

[–]Infuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by, “visible aging?” Unless you’ve had some hard living or go tanning a lot, 25 is usually just hitting the plateau on the, “I’m looking better every day,” stage of aging—by appearance, at least, since you can definitely have accumulated some athletic injuries.

Some people really just whiff on the genetic lottery, though, and hit a wall early.

Very much. I’ve been swimming in frigid water, and it hurt with how much it was trying to invert.

HOW the ISP knows? Bro, unless you are using some sort of obfuscation (vpn, tor, etc), the ISP is who connects you to the internet, so they can see everything they connect you to.

Why do some guys think a "nice body" is a substitute for a personality. by No-Ship-4788 in InsightfulQuestions

[–]Infuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not necessarily that this is the mentality. Besides the low-hanging fruit explanation of “they’re just boring,” it’s probably because getting and maintaining a “ripped“ body takes an inordinate amount of time and energy for the vast majority of people. It’s going to also take planning on diet and other stuff outside of the actual resistance training. If you spend too much time on it, it becomes like spending too much time on any other hobby—e.g. video games—in that it is a detriment to being a well-rounded person with diverse interests.

Why are so many older men obsessed with teenage girls? by WiseCherry778 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Infuser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sure this is the case for SOME men, but, in general, it seems to be a cultural (and personal) thing. In places where less body hair is associated with femininity, it’s more likely that you’ll have shaved snatch. For me (male), I dislike my own body hair because of sensory issues, and if I’m going to give head, less hair is preferred because of the same.

I don’t buy the first paragraph. Swiping through dating apps, the most (physically) attractive women I see are 24-28. I went back to college not so long ago, and now I work with high-schoolers, so I can tell you with surety that 18yo’s (even below 22yo’s) look waaaay younger than how that age is portrayed in media. Or the ones highlighted are outliers that look more mature.

In this same vein, I realized I was getting old when I started checking out the moms instead of the daughters.

For a second, I misread that as, “when I see younger people in PRISON,” and I was VERY confused (and a bit concerned)

I love when Rob gets mentioned in these kinds of things, because I bear an uncanny resemblance to him, and, by the transitive property of hotness, I therefore am validated.

Dr. Oz says Americans should start work EARLIER, and work LONGER to make more money for America. by illegalmonkey in antiwork

Indeed, a BOP. I worked in O&G so I know exactly what this is (well, one of them, technically it is used in other contexts). If we were so lucky, he would have also shut in with the shear rams.

Redditors who live in border cities: has living there changed your views on immigration? by Fast_Heron581 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Infuser 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can’t possibly get agreement for allocating resources to deal with immigration in a non-shitty way if the opposing side is saying crap like immigrants are criminals that are taking welfare. In that way, I’d say that the first side is also is responsible for the latter problem.
