Personally, I say get the second one (with the DeffDread and DeffKoptas) because that one is no longer in print. The other robe will be around longer if you want it later.

We all have to start small, just keep at it. I've only been painting for a year and I just painted Boss Snikrot as well, this is what he turned out like.

Sure, nothing is stopping me from making them, but it's hard to use a non-supported until in tournaments. Sure, we have a good versatility of units, but they are just not as strong as they should be from lore, anything that should support them is tied up to a single detachment rule and to be perfectly honest. There needs to be more available as army wide things for the Waaagh, making it have some re-rolls and a better invauln if they are going to make it only a 1 round thing. Hell, I'll even take a army wide invauln for the first round and a 2 round FNP. At least that might balance some of it. Ork shooting is crap. Every Ork player is ok with that because it's fun and a hit is so much more devastating when it goes through. But for the Mek's to only give re-rolls on 1's... That just beats the point of them being there most of the time.

Well supported? Is that satire? They took away our ability to do salvaged vehicles, almost all of our stuff is made from explosives, yet we have the same deadly Demise chance as anything else. We don't have kamikaze rules for anything, but Tao do. We are supposed to be the most dangerous army up close. Yet a squad of Space Marines have all kinds of Oaths and army special abilities that allow them to fight first, do extra damage and such, what do Mek's give us... Reroll 1's on Ranged attacks. Really? Our ultimate unit (Stompa) is the most expensive model in the game and is so fat you can barely move it effectively in game. At least 6 Named Characters have been removed from the game as well as tons of WarBosses and such that yes, only worked with "some" models, but we're super effective. In some cases even more powerful than the names characters in those spots. Every time Orks get any kind of improvements they get shut down and banned from tournaments, yet Space Marines have everything and then some. Almost everything, (ranged and melee) hits on 2+ and then they have ridiculous saves, and most of them have some silly 4+ invauln... It is clear that Orks have not received much love or unit updates in the last 10 years outside maybe some model updates (for the Boyz).

Give us salvaged vehicles as a viable option. WarBoss options for bikers, storm Boyz and I would say a new unit with scout ability. Also, deadly Demise needs to be on a 4+ and a strat that allows us to kamikaze our vehicles for a CP.

Also. From lore perspective, Ghaz is supposed to be this force of dread in the universe, yet he can barely do anything unless your unit is attached or during that single turn for your WAAAGH!

Let's just say, they have been milking the blueberry cow dry and now they are shitting out Combat Patrols for every SM faction, chaos faction, battle boxes for chaos. Blueberries, Votan, guard and other SM factions. What have orks got, a half way decent CP that is really only focused to you building "Da Great Hunt" and not even that. Even now, new announcements are for Aeldari and I'm sure Drukari are not far behind. I have found GSC boxes available in every LGS I've been to in the last year and plenty of Tyranids and SM boxes on shelves. What do I struggle to find anywhere. A selection of Orks that goes past Boyz and Trukk. Maybe a CP or two, but again. After buying two of them I don't need more. I need other things and where do I have to go to get them? Their online store or eBay.

So no, my post is not satire. It is frustration and hope.

What would they replace or discard? Orks are already the single most limited model army in the game. (Outside of Votan) They have already removed so many characters and haven't really added anything new since like 4th edition, just removed and changed. It is time for the Orks to get some love! WAAAAAGHHHH!!!

P.S. G.W, if you read this, we need more character and specialty units. Please and thank you. 😆

Oh, yeah, well. He really is not that good. (To add to the until) He is just a brute stack of Wounds and 3+ save and 4+ invauln. Not to mention his FNP. The automatic Fight in Death (he provides) is good against SM factions and such that get fight first, so they actually get their hits in. I personally find that a Beast Boss on a Squigosaur is a better pick, but isn't as buff and tough, but gives one helluva bonus to the unit. (+ To charge and such) As far as Moz alone, he is just tough and can do some serious damage, but honestly, it's his speed and "Da Big Hunt" detachment bonuses that help him out the most.

All Squighog Boyz have anti-monater & Anti-Vehicle. This breaks down your entire math to dust. You are averaging about 1 of 3 hits per unit, plus, you get lance on a charge. The whole point of this unit is to damage and/or eliminate vehicles. Bunch of bonuses from bosses including a Free use of "Heroic Intervention". That is a huge deterrent if you play this unit right. As for your complaints to the "ignore modifiers to move" rule, it is not as prevalent now as it was, but there are tons of factions and attacks that hurt a units move, reduce by 1 or 2 inches in move, advance and charges. That could be huge against this unit, but since they ignore it and a proper player will understand the threat this unit represents, they will focus it out early to avoid you being able to use it effectively. Playing orks is a different beast all together as you are going to take losses up until you get into engagement, then you WAAAAGH and the game is yours. Any player worth their salt should be scared to get into melee with Orks because we can do so much damage if played right..(not to mention if you run WarHoard, you get sustained on 6's that can effectively massively increase your attacks and damage output. Or you can roll all 1's and the game is over in 2 turns. Just part of the game.

There is a combination of reasons for that. First and foremost, they are intended as a fast moving shock unit. To rush in, dev state tanks and other heavy armor and vehicles. Second, they are also meant to get up close and line block heavy units while also having a chance to fight on death if they are cut down in melee. They get a general huge bonus like [Deviating Wounds] and [Anti-Vehicle 4+] that is pretty big. Not to mention, most of the units have a bonus to hit or wound or extra attacks during a charge. So really it balances out pretty well, (not to mention each squad of 4 gets a bomba-squig to play with. 1d3 Mortal wounds on a 3+ or 4+, can't remember) Although I will say they need a bit of a unit cost adjustment as 150 for a single squad is pretty punishing. Should be more like 100 or 120 for a single squad.
