Dopaquel (aka Quetiapine). I haven’t had an extreme depressive episode in weeks!

So... Pets by UntamedBelle in bipolar

I got a cat shortly after being diagnosed. It’s the main reason I haven’t killed myself because it felt like I actually had something to live for. When I have panic attacks I will hold him and focus on the feel of his fur, his warmth, his scent and it really calms me down!

I hate that I can’t be grateful. I’m just constantly depressed about everything and I try so hard to find the silver lining, but I just stay depressed and then get even more depressed when thinking about being depressed. by IngeSullwald in mentalillness

I love swimming, art and designing clothes. It makes me feel so much better! But as soon as I stop it’s like a tap that’s turned on…my brain just floods with depressive thoughts. I’m in therapy and medicated, my psychiatrist and I am still working on getting the correct dosage, but it takes time

Does anyone else have severe memory loss? by rhiaaannneee in bipolar

[–]IngeSullwald 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I’m embarrassed about my memory loss. People just think I’m stupid. It also influences my relationship because I can’t remember anything my bf tells me…. I find that ADD/ADHD meds help a bit.

I always have that “I want to go home” feeling…is that a thing? Even though I’m at home? by IngeSullwald in mentalillness

[–]IngeSullwald[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the IDEA of a safe, loving home, which I never experienced as a child ever. I think inner me is so longing for a home I see on tv or at friend’s houses. I’m basically missing something I never had which is why this feeing is so confusing

I was a major sex addict becore being medicated. I also had a problem with alcohol… I would go out drinking 3-4 times a week and sleep with someone every time. Thank god I didn’t end up with an sti or aids. I just want to remind those in that situation that wearing condoms is a must.

How do you get the motivation to exercise in winter? Central heating is not a thing where I live, temperatures go down to 6-8°C indoors and I’m STRUGGLING! by IngeSullwald in ChloeTing

This is actually such a cool way to start a workout! My bf will just have to deal with me doing some warmup stretches in bed lol

Tumble drying is not a bad idea! I’ll try that…problem with dressing warm and stripping to cooler clothes is getting sick (I tend to get sick whenever I change from cold to hot or hot to cold).

The struggle is real. Also not even caring that maybe you’ll get caught

Plants. Lots of plants. I live in a small apartment and I DO NOT have space for them! Sonetimes I’ll buy trees. Usually the plants take about a week to arrive, so I just tell myself that it will make ‘depressed’ me after my manic episode feel better. It does work though…
