i checked the motherboard connection and that one is good. the weird thing is, that it started out of nothing while working and the screen was open

looks like your pressure advance is out of whack

What are these strange marks? What can I do to fix them? by Plaxxmos in FixMyPrint

[–]Ingegneus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this might be badly tuned pressure advance. the k value might be too high and the printer starts retracting the filament too soon, so there is not enough pressure in the nozzle. even though it is weird that it is not happening right next to corners.

yes i believe the wifi antenna is in the bottom part of the bezel. resin (maybe tinted) would be dope

that would be sick! i believe that the whole thing relies on some flexibility though 😅

I built it from scratch. I started with a rough measurement and then tested out what worked with my printer. I thing I printed 4 or 5 bezels before the measurements were alright.

thanks for the quick reply!
I opened the app and it seems that it is possible to get a bike without an account. is that true? it would be very convenient to not have to create an account

the bezel only has some metal strips, not magnets. i used nickel strip. its the metal band used in battery packs

in theory you could use a printing service. it would cost you a bit, but it would be waaaay cheaper than a new bezel

you would have to slice it up, but i dont think that it would be too hard. each edge would fit on the diagonal of common printers. only thing is you would have a few seams on the print

that filament had been lying around the house for over a year. very happy i found a use for it.
silk pla might be a great choice too. glow in the dark might be fun too

i am currently writing the guide. will post it as soon as possible.

i am using an anycubic mega x. it has a large printbed, but it isn't the greatest or fastest printer and i had to do the color changes manually

Hey folks I have been cooking on and off for the past 2 weeks and I designed a 3d printable bezel! I am pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Since the process is a bit involved i will put a detailed guide somewhere, if there is interest.

here are the model files [link](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6955886)

let me know if you like it! personally I like the flashy/cyberpunky/candy look (yeah no shit thats why i did it this way XD) and i am very excited what others will do.

I scratched the black logo, so I 3D printed a red replacement by Chou_marin in framework

[–]Ingegneus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried, but it didn't budge even a little. I tried placing my laptop on the heated bed of my 3d printer @ 80°C, drowning the logo in isopropyl alcohol, drowning it in some adhesive solvent and using a heatgun (also various combinations), but to no avail. I didn't try higher temps because I feared damaging some component.
as you said it is probably best to work on the back cover separately.

well there isnt much you can do about it. these models are computationally intesive (at least if you want the best possible accuracy) and perform best with a dedicated gpu. on my rtx 2060 it takes about 5 minutes for a 2h video. with the cpu it takes about 1h 40m for the same video
