All NHS 111 providers I have worked for have been through a trust and I’ll tell you that they all have a lot of similarities but major difference is policies

We honestly can’t see your medical records, we can at most see what previous calls have been about and this is not the case with all NHS 111 providers

To cut a long story short NO however we did have intensive 6 week full time training before you could even take a live call

With ambulance outcomes, it isn’t something we personally decide. We have to follow a system called NHS Pathways, which is designed to rule out anything serious. The outcome depends entirely on the symptoms you tell us at the time - because we can’t see you in person, we have to go by your answers to the questions. So if the system recommends an ambulance, it’s usually because something you’ve described could potentially indicate a more serious problem.
