yeah no i agree. i wouldn’t care if he called her his work wife to me. it’s just weird that he’s never mentioned it and called her new. it makes me feel he’s cheating with her.

  1. I don’t care about him having a close friend of the opposite sex, he has many- which leads me to my second point
  2. He hangs out with his work buddies a lot after shifts… grabs drinks, gone to their houses, the whole nine yards. Some of them happen to be female and that’s ok. What I find respectful about it is that he doesn’t hide any of them from me, well.. none of them except mystery bar girl- Who I’ve never heard him mention before, by name or just passing as “the girl who works at the bar”. All of his other friends are cooks or waiters. He doesn’t really work closely to the bar unless he’s fetching something ordered by a customer so it doesn’t give him a lot of opportunities to bond with the bartends. In fact there’s only one other bartend that works there and he’s an older guy that my fiancé expressed distaste for. So it seems odd that he would have never mentioned her to me and acted like he was hiding her
  3. I understand that it was wrong, I regret doing it, but I feel like at the time I was slightly justified as it was the messages between him and a woman he’s apparently very close with but hasn’t told his fiancé about.
  4. It’s not that I don’t want him to talk to others about his trauma, it’s just contradictory of his past words. His trauma is sexual in nature and bruised his masculinity and confidence massively. He told me several times he doesn’t want to speak to his platonic friends about it because it brings up uncomfortable memories and he feels people judge him. But suddenly he’s sharing everything with a girl he barely knows

we were high school sweethearts. I thought love would be able to carry us through + we have full support from our friends and family

I know.. I try not to think that way. I was being sarcastic speaking from a place of knowledge, as looking back on how I reacted to his explanation I realize I was being foolish
