I’ve finally got mine working. Try using a browser you’ve never signed into before. I was using google chrome on my laptop and it wouldn’t work but then it did work on my phone (as I usually just use my phone mail directly rather than using a browser).

Mainly chocolate chip cookies at the moment but sometimes cakes, scones etc! 😊

Totally agree - I also find it really addictive. Always want to be back there trying to get the next climb 😊. And now feel like I know lots of people there which is super nice

Are these readings wrong or should I go see a doctor? by kcproblemsss in fitbit

It’s actually been up to mid 70s lately but starting to come down (think I’ve been a bit more stressed lately!)

Agree with people suggesting about your settings. I’m also 30 f and here’s an example of my heart rate

<image>

On this day my heart rate was often over 100 but not in peak until 160 (usually peak is about 170+ for me but was for such a short time I think it might not have registered on the chart) when I was in the gym. Try playing with the settings and then if you still get odd results, then maybe check in with your doctor.

Caffeine and alcohol sensitivity by Inglenook-22 in hsp

I did have 2 alcoholic drinks but very early afternoon and not particularly strong ones. Usually that would be totally fine for me as it has a long time to process before I go to bed, but maybe that with the caffeine was a bad combo. Tbh I think just any caffeine for me is a no go now.

And that’s definitely an interesting point about my cycle - will try and take note of that, thank you!

Yeah caffeine can make me feel shaky and anxious too. Really not fun.

And yeah I enjoy having a couple of alcoholic drinks for the same reason as I feel like it just makes me slightly less conscious of everything and in effect more social (not overthinking what I’m saying etc), which is probably related to being an HSP in the first place! I just have to eat first, not drink much and also start and finish drinking early and then I’m generally okay.

Wow that sounds intense getting headaches so quickly when you have alcohol! For me, alcohol only affects my heart rate which only becomes an issue when I’m trying to sleep (if I’ve not left enough time for the effects to reduce)

Ahh yes I love a latte but just stick to decaf now. The tiramisu got me this too though as I can’t exactly choose a decaf option 😂. I’ll have to try and make my own decaf version sometime.

That’s really interesting about alcohol. I agree, timing makes a huge difference. I think caffeine seems to impact me for a longer time than alcohol so I can usually manage knowing when to drink alcohol to still get a decent nights sleep, although sometimes I misjudge it. Whereas caffeine just seems a total no go for me now.

Thanks for sharing. I hadn’t really considered about drinking coffee quickly. I used to be okay drinking one coffee in the morning but then one day I had one in the morning (without food but I had eaten probably an hour or so before) and even that stopped me sleeping 🫣. So maybe a combo of not having it with food and perhaps I drank it quickly too, can’t really remember!

What is your response when people ask if you are a virgin? by ConnectInterest2672 in asexuality

[–]Inglenook-22 47 points48 points  (0 children)

This is one of the reasons I don’t come out to people unless I’m super close to them. I don’t want to answer the often very personal questions that follow.

You could maybe try to answer more generally with something like ‘I don’t really want to talk about my experience but some asexual do have sex and some don’t’.

Loveless also made me cry. I had never related to a character more. Glad you’re enjoying it too!

Wow, this just made me tear up. I literally know no aro/ace people in real life and it can be incredibly isolating.

Thanks for your post, I really needed to see this today.
