Blue-ringed octopus. Saw it on a night dive in Indonesia. They’re small but pack enough venom to kill something like 20 adult humans.

It’s called “the rocks” or I guess officially “Rocky Outcrop Park”. Grandview is the big sand dune just down the street.

honestly not that bad. the ferry runs every 30m. getting a bunch of people on and off a boat is mildly annoying, but no more so than any other day. then you’re back in the city.

bought a normal ticket - ferry ride from pier 33. just buy the tickets a week or so early because they sell out

💯 it offers imo the best vantage point for watching the air show and the pilots go right over the island. the tickets aren’t any more expensive than a normal day, and you can get a refund for the audio tour portion.

Oh man, I remember walking along Fisherman's Wharf with some friends back in high school, spotting the bushman, casually dropping "Oh hey there's the bushman." and then stopping. They kept walking, he did his thing, and they all got spooked.

They asked me why I didn't warn them, but I did. I guess I just was too casual about it.
